A layer of silver covers the fuller of the blade and extends from hilt to tip, its irregular edges melding with the invar to form the semblance of snow drifts. Formed of intricate silver filigree, the crossguard bears tiny opal chips that glitter like snowflakes in the sun, while the hilt is wrapped with pure white silk.
