This bothers me. What the hell does race and gender really have to do with anything? Why can't it be assumed that it is based off merit instead of being some conspiracy based off what color or gender you are?

Actually it is. Them women have no combat experience so can't be promoted.

But seriously, that article means shit. 70% of the military leaders are white men? How many of the military in general is white men? I'm not saying there isn't some bullshit discrimination, but the statistics in the article are worthless.

100% of my bills are paid by a white man. How come the minorities aren't paying their fair share?!

Yeah fuck that old boys club. Thankfully, the US military is their last officiated stronghold. I give our society 20 or 30 more years before laws are created that equalize the combat roles and career progression and the demographic evolves naturally.

That pisses me off too. I knew a ton of black leaders when I was in, just happened most were non-commissioned officers. Most NCO's, white or otherwise, don't take the leap to officer even after the military has paid for their schooling. I'd say that this article is more an indication of where the "minorities" decide they want their futures.

If they were in the military...they wouldn't be able to soak up tax dollars on the couch they bought with tax dollars, eating the fast food they bought with tax dollars and using the iPhone they bought...with tax dollars.

Military = Work...and generally a lot of it for less than you're paid. White people only do it as a last resort or a out of pride. It sure as hell isn't for the pay.
