So I was helping to clean a property for sale and found a bunch of my old stuff. In cleaning, I found a bunch of my old baseball cards. I have the complete 88-93 sets of Upper Deck and Topps. I even have some cards from the 70's mixed in. Anyways, I have no intention of selling them yet, but I am hoping someone can tell me what cards to look for so that I can put them in proper protection.
Ohh yeah, I have a Braves Spring Training baseball signed by Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz, and Bobby Cox. Any clue on how I go about getting that authenticated? I did it with another ball I had signed by most of the World Series Team, but that was easier because I had pictures of them signing the ball.

Why not? You and a friend could go out to a nice dinner with the proceeds.

The 70's stuff might have some value.

I'll save them for my kid. Tons of great players in that mix.

I used to collect cards when I was a kid, stopped once a "buddy" of mine stole my Tops Wade Bogg rookie card.

89 upper deck was a highly sought after set back in the day. Should have Ken griffey Jr and randy Johnson rookies in there. I know the kgj used to be worth a decent amount. After 89 fleer came out with leaf which kind of dominated the market a bit. Tops is like scorecard and donruss, very common unless it was pre 60s.

I figured as much. I plan on going through all the folders and taking out the players I know are worth at little. I stopped watching baseball back in the late 90's after the Braves continued to get to the playoffs and never do anything, so I'm sure there are some players I don't know about. Who knows, maybe when I'm a grandfather there will be some amazing cards. I had a few cards locked up, like the signed Pete Rose and Barry Bonds, along with the Braves World Series Baseball.

Yeah. Best saved for family IMO. Terrible market for sports goods. I have an authenticated signed and numbered limited edition picture from Mickey mantle And Willie Mays. I was only offered $400 for it. Is worth much more to me, so I kept it.

In the 80's he was on the Red Sock team with Roger Clemen.
