The Knicks are screwed.

Chandler was the only guy besides Turiaf who played defense, and Turiaf can't stay on the court. Mozgef was their only actual center, who's going to guard the center when Amar'e is off the court, Shelden Williams? The Knicks were already tied for the second worse points per game allowed, WITH CLEVELAND.

The Nuggets scored fewer points per possession with Carmelo on the court. Is he a top 10 player right now? Is he even top 20?

The Knicks are only in the 6th spot, and are only 5 games ahead of Charles Oakley's 9th place Bobcats. Are we sure they can hold on and make the playoffs with the growing pains from a massive roster overhaul, including a point guard switch? What happens if they start losing and Carmelo starts sulking?

The Knicks included EVEN MORE DRAFT PICKS in the trade. They currently don't have a first or second round pick this year, a first round pick next year, or a first round pick in 2014. What if Billups retires?

I've got the Knicks ending up with a 7 seed at best and getting crushed in the first round at this point.

This team is clearly Phoenix 2.0. Carmelo and Amare have always been lazy defenders and I don't expect this to change. The Celtics and the Heat are both teams that can shut you down in crunch time which is why the I doubt this Knicks team in it's current incarnation can expect to make it to the finals. Also, if there was any doubt it's clear now that the Eastern conference is stronger than the Western.

The knicks aren't going to try and stop anyone from scoring, it's just a matter of if they can score more than you and if your team can keep up with their pace.

I'm pretty sure they have a 2011 1st round pick, doesn't Houston just have the right to swap picks? Also the 2nd rounds they traded away were Golden States, thanks David Lee.

Sure seemed like the nets offer was better then the knicks, apparently Brooklyn isnt as good as losing in MSG for melo

It doesn't really matter what the Nets offer was if Melo wasn't willing to sign his extension and play for the Nets. Besides at the knicks still have some players in addition to Amare as opposed to just going to play along side Lopez.
