Debating converting my warrior to a paladin. I'm finding that my capped warrior is less effective in capped hunting areas then my 90's paladin. I'm sure a component of this is player skill, and I'd be happy to hear suggestions on tactics. Outside of that I'm hoping to get some insight from you guys as to why I will regret converting later on.

You already have a 90 paladin. Why would you want two?

Don't convert. Big mistake, that you will regret. Besides, like Ruty said, you already have a 90 Paladin.

Warriors are bad ass.

In some situations warriors are bad ass. Invasions are great. You are rarely out of commission and you can do a good bit of damage, so are paladins though.

Where I think warriors are lacking is solo hunting. One-on-one warriors can be fantastic. You have lots of manuevers that can cause some serious havoc. The problem comes in fighting groups. Very little crowd control compared to other classess and you exhaust your stamina so quickly that you become gimped. Also, because you are melee dependent creatures evade, block or parry often, leaving you in offensive and exposed. When you are fighting 3-4 creature that can all mstrike you become dead quick regardless of what your redux looks like. Berserk is great in some of these situations but you loose control and can put yourself in a worse situation in the end.

I guess I'm just pretty frustrated right now. I've been playing since 95 and have played almost every class at capped and warriors by far, to me, are the weakest.

I wish i never converted, paladins are boring two set up spells then attack. Warrior have access to alot of cmans and the guild skills. If its a bot guess paladin would be the way to go. If you are active during hunting stick with warrior. Warrior is more interactive:)

Add in other weapon type...hurled or ranged to get past e/b/p and add some more fun.

Kerl does melee and thrown and is way passed capped.

Having two 10x returners doesn't hurt.

No, not at all, but i'm not even at that level. Heck, Kerl's axe is far better than mine.

But...

Anyone can add hurling/ranged and use standard gear to get past a tough foe, keep a cocked and loaded heavy crossbow for a shot, drop it and grab the claid..

Get the kroderine plate, shield, and win the raffle for the kroderine weapon an spitfire and say, "FUCK YOU SPELLS, I'M A DINOSAUR."

I'm gonna try and wait till May for any final decisions. Gonan fixskill between now and then to add either hurling or ranged, leaning toward ranged, and to pick up pole arms and drop sword/board.

Anyone have fixskill they'd front me...short by about 700k?

Again, if you have a paladin already in the 90's, why would you want to convert the warrior? If you didn't already have one I would say convert.

Paladins are far from boring, it's all about your play style. If you want 20 different ways of killing something then true, they may not be for you. But if you just want to be a brutal killing machine then they rock.
