I still play, but I keep away from all the turnies and stuff..Mainly because I hate their damn rules.

If they make a magic card. I can use it. Screw all their crap.

A lot of my fav cards are agenst the rules. I used to have (I think I still do somewhere..) a black discard/megrim deck, that I used mind twists in..which are banned in every form of magic known to man. Hehe. Won so many games because of that card.

Well it depends what type of magic you play...Block, T2 and Extended are limited to sets that were released within certain time frames.

However if you play T1, mind twist is still legal. However it is restricted to only one.

Very few cards are outright banned in T1. Although there are many restricted ones.

I purposely left my cards in my grandmother's house in Florida because I REFUSE to get wrapped up in it again. I mean, that's like the purest form of addiction, worse than GS. OMG no! Magic cards are of the wyrm!!

Yes, I follow the only 4 of one type of card rule. Thats logical. (though I did have a very fun deck to play only with close friends cause it was completely out of line. 20 mana, 40 plague rats. Was great fun.)

Way I see it. If they make a card, and sell said card. I can use it in up to groups of 4. If there is a turny for a prize. I feel you should be able to use ANYTHING under your power to win. If someone has dumped tons more $$ into the game, then by all respects, they should have a better chance at winning. Its the way it goes.

Some of my friends have spent a LOT more money on Magic then I. I loose to them quite often because of my lack of "newer and better" cards. But you know what? When I do win, it makes it that much better!

Edit to add : And I still think I should be the winner of the Magic Gauntlet I played in 4 years or so ago! I know they game of 60 people FFA was expected to last many hours, but damnit, I killed everyone in the 5th round! I should win! Rawr!

Magic makes you more of a nerd than D&D and GS combined. I played it for like.. 2 weeks, then I saw it sucking my money. I quit immediately.

I have cards from antiquities, a moon and arabian nights. I also have one card that I heard was banned because it has a pentagram on the guy's head, it's called "demonic tutor."

where do i go to get my stuff appraised?

I do not play anymore, but I can most likely appraise your cards if you give me a list of the card names and sets they belong to. Anything new within the last year and a half I can't help you with. I have no interested in the new stuff. Also I may require a few scans if the card has great value. Also I do not suggest you sell on ebay. I originally put a few of my more valueable cards (p9) on ebay and decided to pull them. I got close to 4k for all my stuff using other sources.

I truely miss my cards. I rarely would ever play anymore, but I had some of the cooliest cards. I didn't have all the Power 9, but I had beta and signed stuff. My cooliest peace that I had though was all four different mirshra factories (seasons) from antiquities and signed by kojo and who ever the other artists was.

I wish I could play anyone here. heh. I consider myself one of the best type one players of all time. Playing fairplay with someone (I do not need any power 9 if I have my other choice of cards to play with) I am pretty sure I could take anyone. I have created some very good decks.

I hate it too when they banned or restrict cards. But in reality though, if you playing someone you can use whatever you want. If a person doesnt declare the type, then it is type 0. No banned or restricted cards. My favorite was channel fireball. With a close second of braingeyser, mana vault and stasis. God that was a sick set before they started screwing around with the expansions.

Heh, I used to play a lot. Still have a decent collection from Odyssey on up.

If anyone is interested in buy a nice collection of DCI foils and a few other nice cards (foil fetchlands, two playsets of birds, some other stuff) U2U me and we'll work something out.

That card was from Magic Unglued, which was a separate side set that is not legal to play in the rest. It was a very fun set.
