I say the solar flare is a hoax perpetrated by Showal in an attempt to ingratiate himself with SuckerFish and then plot World Domination. That's the only explanation that fits when it is SO FUCKING COLD on a day that we're supposed to have extra solar power.

I don't know about that. A lich-king necromancer wouldn't "accidentally" shoot someone. He'd steal their soul.
