From what I've heard (and what I can conclude...) there seem to be a buncha (10+) new GMs, and this might have been a sorta announcement regarding it... or maybe it was just GMs havin some fun.
I love it... hire more

I'm with Makkah on that one.. they need more.

I don't really think it's about quantity, I would prefer quality.
Hopefully this is the case with the new bunch.

Xcalibur's polls suck, you cannot get an accurate reading without a "WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR POINT, STFU XCALIBUR" option.

Zilana sounds familiar, as does Hadlir, but I'm not remembering where from.

Eh, GMs aren't really IC, I don't think they're required to have 100% original uber the best ever names. GMs don't actually exist in the RP environment of Elanthia, so I don't think GMs with names like Krash, Illusion, Stealth and Wrench are disruptive at all.

Exactly. It's better for GMs to take the bad names than the good ones.

Hadlir and Tilmont are not new. The others I've not heard of.

The gm's were training and welcoming the new gm's to the group from what I understand.
Scared me for a minute especially since they quaked the world I believe.

He should add that as an option to any future polls of his. Which I hope we'll be spared of!

I'd argue on this. A lot of players allow GMs to set an example for them to follow even if they are ooc entities. They are Simu's ultimate, most visible representatives in text. If anything, they should be on a higher standard than your average player.

I heard they try to make a point to be OOC so people don't get confused.

You realize, that whether they keep the GM's they had, or add another 500 more GM's nothing more will get done. It's the nature of the beast.

Thanks for making me spit water on my computer, Artha.
GMs SHOULD set a roleplaying example - IN ROLEPLAYING SITUATIONS. RPing situations do not include assists, referrals, and time in the consultation lounge. They DO include Quests and Merchant Events.
Many GMs do a stellar job with these things. A few of them, not so much, and in those situations I would agree with you, Melissa.

And GMs in RP situations haul in NPCs to do it. They don't RP in their GM personas.

14 new GMs. Some of them are very good players, so let's hope they are just as good as GMs.
The "fired" list is pretty interesting, too. Some mostly because they haven't been around, but a few.. hmmm. Ya'll need to keep your eyes open for the missing favorites (sarcasm) of yours.
Sadly gone are Krash and Smite ::sniffs:: Game fun wise, they will be missed.
Speaking of, wheres the updates to the website Celtic?

Only because most GMs are hired because of how they RPed their characters. GMs should never be confused for IC role models, as they're always an OOC part of the game. I don't have a problem with them socializing occasionally in the game OOC, like when they're done with a referral and the group of people there are saying hello and chatting -- it's nice to get to say hello and THANK YOU once in a while, in person. Most of them are good at roleplaying their merchants and other NPCs when the situation calls for IC RP.

And I appreciate the ones that are good at RPing their merchants. Seriously, I know lots of people whine about not getting alterations, but I'd rather have a well RPed merchant that does 20 alters than a screamer who does 100.
