New Player needing build help

I will be playing Human.

Is it possible to start at level one as a pure, or should I start melee based and then respec? What level should a sorc be able to hunt with only spells? I remember being able to do it around level 10 or so in GS3 when I last played. I used MD on manticores.

For a level 1 sorc what would be the easiest stat allocation and training in order to solo hunt? At what level would it be appropriate to switch to a pure?

Saw your pally and wizard posts too. I am assuming you're going to be hunting MA. Fastest way to level for all classes is to use your first 30 days with a claid and rape everything. If you know how to use Ruby or Lich you can easily get into your late 20's by the end of it then reallocate your stats and skills to match what you want to do.

In your first 30 days, load up on STR, LOG, AGI, DEX. Train THW, CM, physical fitness. Get a claidhmore, as Ruty1532 said, and powerhunt your brains out. At the end of the trial period, fixskill and fix-stat into your "real" character.

It is not worth trying to hunt as a pure before you have to.
