heard something about how CS is calculated for Sorcery was tweaked a while back. Anyone able to shed some light on this for me?

I think what you may be referring to was the 'hybrid penalty' which was removed from our two minor circles. They used to not help each other but that has since been fixed. We are now on par with all the other classes in game in regards to our secondary circle casting strengths. Sorcerer casting strength formulas have not changed. I gained about 20 CS or so with the fix.
