Hey guys, I'm coming back to GS and my ranger after a solid 6+ years. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a solid place to hunter at lvl 65 as an archer or OHE. Thanks a bunch. Takes quite a bit getting back into the swing of things.

Temple Wyneb. No Maaghara Tower. Magaara? Maagaara?
No I have no idea.

Not illoke, that area is not made for archers. Whatever the Elven Nations equivalent is will be easier.

For Elven Nations, critters from slightly under to over your training.....

Black forest, Wyneb, Maaghara (all archer friendly)

Next step after that is OTF.

Can you get into the tower at 65? I thought it was 66.

I thought that was Rift?

Yeah, tower has a level barrier. 66 or 67 or something. Rift is 67. OTF is 77. Keen is good hunting for an archer, especially if you skin and train in a lot of survival.

I loved fire mages, but I'm a masochist. They're a lot more convenient now with the introduction of the sigils of determination and mending.

I was still doing forest ogres at 66 lol.. gotta love a 600 mana pool and 616.. was awful slow though. hated that level.

try fire mages, that should be good :P

but why not temple wyneb? that seems like the most logical choice. level 62-70 stuff.

Man you guys are no joke, thanks a bunch. Now i just need to remember how to play and I'll be good to go! :)

Oh and I've heard a lot about GoS and how well it goes with archery. I take it I should drop CoL and take that up?

Wait about 6 months...get the hang of GS again.

GoS is probably one of the more frustrating things to do in GS, and by far the hardest society to master.

How in fuck did you have a 600 mana pool at 66 IW??

I wouldn't say hardest to master. It has the hardest task (step 10) but voln takes much longer to master and you have to hunt generally harder creatures. But Voln has a task at every step, not just 4 total tasks.

Rift is 66 and tower is 67

Got a second char closing in on those trains. Should be fun...if I ever finish these grant papers.

Voln may be more tedious, but I died more trying to master GoS at cap than I have in a long time. Warcamps suck soloing as you get older!

That is what I am basing that statment off.

oh yeah, at cap.. sucks.

Sharnath is a GoS open aiming ranger... with haste imbeds it takes about 3 minutes or less to fry. Once you get used to the camps it is a cake walk. You will die every once in a while from stacked RT from maneuvers or warrior tricks or the occasional void from a sorc but it doesn't happen that often and you can hunt anywhere you want.

How in fuck did you have a 600 mana pool at 66 IW??

1x harness power, 10 spirit, owl aspect (gives 2 spirit every 4 minutes)

so at 200 mana.. 2 wracks per hunt.. = 600 or so
