So yeah, I picked up a mage rechargeable crown with 2 ranks of MIU.

I was thinking about having it imbeded with 402, i've read that it helps with "Aiming"

I only 2x perception, 1x ambush.

Any thoughts on this?

I'd be trying to solely rely on the MIU of the crown.

I guess the alternative route would be to try'n squeeze 20 ranks of AS in (I think its required for Darkstone? or somethin like "read runes" in some place)

Don't bother with 402. Get 7-8 ranks of MIU and get done haste imbedded (use tap). The rune reading is for the broken lands, and you never need to go there.

402's duration is STRICTLY level based. 2 seconds per level. At cap, that's 200 seconds, (3 minutes, 20 seconds) per cast, which translates to 75 casts, 150 mana to stack a full 250 minutes. Is 402 worth using... yes, but to aid your ranged aiming, I'm pretty sure you want 404, not 402.
