Effective immediately, CHE house pins have been updated to have the ability to teleport a member to the location of their House from any place within town limits, even from far off realms! In order to do so, simply TAP your pin to be whisked back home. Upon using such magics, however, the pin will not be able to teleport you again until 30 days have passed.

Please note that this teleportation is one-way only! Those teleporting to their houses for events, meetings, or just plain old companionship will have to travel back from whence they came via normal means.

Retroactive update, or do you need to buy a new pin?

They should have just made them like premium pins, and each house having a 1 or 2 two room area it transports you to.

An actually incredible change.

Who is this Alyias and why is he doing things that actually make sense and make gameplay more fun? WTF is going on here!

Combine this with the glaesine dragonfly from the aelotoi festival and you can do EN and back quickly 1x a month.

Those things are awesome. I rolled up a couple of Aelotoi just for the 1x/week option on them.

Nice change if you need to get back to your CHE in a snap, but really, with the change of timing in the Zul carts, the trip over the 'Spine isn't all that bad anymore. 30 minutes max and 2010 silver, and you can get between Landing and Ta'Vaalor real easily.

Love it for Beacon Hall though.

Heh. Their pins should be like 5x/month.

20 minutes max if you can take the shortcut.

Shortcut?

Around the Ta'Vaalor Ferry...need some good climb/swim from what I understand. Never have bothered to figure it out.

Shortcut?

The non-ferry route. It requires decent levels of Climbing Swimming. It is a trail that starts right before the swim into OTF.

Oh, I read that as between Landing and Illistim, not Vaalor.

It must require decent levels of physical fitness. I have 50/50 climb/swim and 24 physical fitness. I always end up dead in the ravine after I try to jump.

edit: But yeah, PF is a big factor.

PF is a huge factor. We found that out when the trail first opened and a capped cleric kept dying on the leap over, whereas a capped GoS wizard (read: 1x PF) could make it every time.

Yeah, I have 30 climbing 50 swimming. Never fell once. 1x PT. Everyone should 1x PT unless you can't afford it. Hell, I would go so far as to say train to your max of PT.

Alyias has already been 10x more productive in the few weeks since he became in charge of CHE than Xynwen was in the entire year plus prior that I had been a CHE officer.

She was pretty productive her first few months too. Just wait till he burns out, which hopefully is never.

Before Xynwen the CHE was pretty much ignored or being bossed around.

My house still had not had their updates that were approved around 1998. We had been fighting to get them done forever. Xynwen got them done and much much more.

She was easier to work with than any other CHE GM we had.

She had such a HUGE back log of stuff to do and to my knowledge got it done.

Her RL is nuts and I applaud her for knowing when it was time.

Unless you had been a CHE officer under the two before her... you have no idea.

<3 Xynwen.

I also believe Xynwen had to have others code for her, while Alyias writes his own code.

Yep. I'd also say the previous 3 or 4 CHE Guru's didn't live up to what Xynwen managed to pull off. Soraya or someone before them managed a few changes in 2000 then trailed off and vanished. Basically until Xynwen stepped in the CHEs were the black hole. Xynwen was a CHE officer so she knew firsthand.

MHO's got proper attention in the meantime.

Alyias has been outstanding. Without question.
