Since this would have to be my second favorite video game of all time (The Elder Scrolls series that is), I guess I'll be updating this thread from time to time as well. And please, follow suit for those who like it as much as I do.

By the way for those who were wondering what my third favorite video game series was of all time it was The Kings Field series for the Playstation and Playstation 2.

A legend in it's time. Still a fun game to play if you've never played it and if you happen to still have a PS2. Plays very much like the Elder Scrolls games.

This held the record for the greatest game I had ever played for a very long time prior to the Elder Scrolls series on the X Box and then the Two Worlds Series which has since then captured that title. If any of you have a Playstation and PS2 still covered in dust and laying around somewhere in your house I strongly recommend you get all 3 of these games and play them. They are still fun to this day. They were basically the role model launching pad for the direction that the Elder Scrolls series started heading in starting from Elder Scrolls 2.

Well what do you know. And here I thought the Kings Field series had died long ago. It appears that a spiritual successor to the series, named Demon's Souls, was released February 5, 2009 in Japan for the PlayStation 3.

I've never played this game Demon's Souls, so I was wondering if someone who has a Playstation 3 could tell me what it's like. I never knew they did a successor to the Kings Field Series on the Playstation 3. So has anyone tried it and did they like it?

Who said anything about introducing anyone to the Elder Scrolls series? I was introducing them to the Kings Field one, which I had thought had come to an end over 10 years ago. It appears Playstation 3 has kept it's Spirit alive.

Seriously I play it on the hard setting so I spend too much of my time running from things and jumping off cliff sides to get away from things to have any time to get bored.

By the way if anyone does order any of those Kings Field series games for their Playstations and PS2's (unless you can find a vintage store that sells them) let me just also give you a little tip. The walls. I have never seen a video game series that hides so many secrets in the walls of the game. You're talking everything from hidden weapons to hidden rooms to hidden rings and such to hidden armor and the whole shibang. I remember spending hours just scanning the walls for things because literally there were so many secrets hidden in the walls that to miss one would be a grave mistake.

So that's the tip. I won't tell you which walls to check, but I promise you will lose out big time if you don't scan the walls in the game. If I remember correctly there are also certain people who are hidden in the walls that you would have never been able to talk if you didn't find the hidden passageway that lead to the room. Be careful though because if memory serves me right some of the hidden things were booby trapped.

But anyways, not sure if Demon Souls uses this same model or not but I know the first 4 Kings Fields did.

Also there are other secrets in the Kings Field game series that have nothing to do with walls but that are still so hard to find that many people completely pass them by. Here's another hint, look over cliffsides and everything else because just because it looks like an unreachable area doesn't mean it isn't accessible.

By the way, I was reading through those comments on that Demon's Souls youtube trailer clip and one of the people there said that it was the longest RPG game they have ever played in their life. They said that the storyline of the game itself (not including side missions or anything) gives 300 hours of playing time. And the poster wasn't complaining about that either he made that very clear. He enjoyed every hour of it from what he said.
