A rich mahogany stain graces the smooth exterior of this wooden box. Each face has been beautifully carved with a different scene. Upon the hinged lid is a chaotic scene depicting deranged monkeys destroying a dress shop; twelve simians have been captured in the middle of tearing fine garments to shreds in a crazed monkey frenzy. One side features a snarling monkey maiden garbed in fine silks and jewels, replete with a hideous expression as she stuffs heavily frosted cake into her face. Another side houses the visage of a crying monkey clown holding a cantaloupe that has been drawn with a smiling face. Adjacent, a burly monkey wearing the armor of a fierce warrior scratches itself with a claidhmore. On the last side, a baby monkey in a mouse costume cradles a stuffed kitten in its arms while nibbling on the toy's right ear. The underside of the box has been engraved with the startling image of a monkey's bottom with its tail curled into a question mark.
