Just found this in a locker - since I am done with the ranged lifestyle, figure this might be a fun toy for someone. See below for the show, inspect and loresong.

You see a carved bloodwood arbalest which is not cocked.
Stout and sturdy, the arbalest is carved into the form of a fierce dragon. The tail of the dragon's body curves around the release lever creating a comfortable grip, its spikes making convenient finger-grooves. The dragon's wings serve as a prod, which is held by a taught string over a black eahnor nut. A three-horned sight crests the dragon's head which has been hollowed out to allow the bolt to lie within a groove between two rows of spikes on the creatures back fire through the dragon's roaring maw. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.
Inspect:
After a careful inspection you determine that a carved bloodwood arbalest requires skill in ranged weapons to use effectively. It appears to be a modified heavy crossbow.
You determine that you could wear the arbalest, slinging it across your shoulders and back. The arbalest appears to serve some purpose.
