There are plenty of high enchant "katanas" out there, but not the new style weighted type.

Not very common, I know of only a handful of other katanas over 4x.

There are a pair or three golvern katanas floating around and they've sold for over 10mil in past years before the new loot system, so it will depends largely on the market.

I know Falvicar has another veil iron, so yours may be the second (maybe third)

If you auctioned it, I would expect it to go for a pretty decent amount low of 4mil, high of 10mil or so, I would bet, perhaps more if you got a bidding war going.

I'll add to this, I had a +23 vaalorn katana with Tgara scripts sell out of my shop for 15mil

I meant to simply store it for a few days and didn't honestly expect it to sell. But here I am, katanaless. Though that 15mil went to a good cause. ;)

The one I had was "A dull veil iron katana", +23 HCW sancted newstyle - sold for 10m to Drakam at an in-game auction. I found it on an Ithzir in OTF and had it sanctified at some merchant.

Yea, I've always logged all my game time. Current logs are at 3.5GB total. I lost all my old logs from November 2003 on back due to a hard drive failure.

Were these auction items, or enchanted via PPs? I can't imagine the hopper put out non-boxfound 6-7x items.

I know that one 6x was enchanted with PPs (what a waste). As for the 7x, I know it exists, but not where it came from. I know there were quite a few auctions of special katanas right before the new katana system was released. Possibly it is one of those? As for things dropping off of critters, I've seen quite a few surprising things, like a 7x fireleaf shield and a 6x veil iron backsword.

Wakazashis are for off hands, not katanas. If the thing is so unwieldly that you need training in two handed weapons to use it in your right hand, what makes you think you would be able to use in your left?

Katanas aren't exactly unwieldy, no more so than longswords, falchions, ect. It was just a stupid limitation put in by Simu.
