Do we have any financial analysts about? Or anyone that knows about SIC codes for industries?

I'm doing an analysis on YouBet which is a company that provides online gambling. I was supposed to compare it to other companies with the same SIC code.

I think I may have trusted the wrong source and compared it to competing companies in the wrong SIC. UGH.

I'm confused. I've been searching Google and can't find a real standard. YouBet (Ticker UBET) was in 7999 and like 7375. Is there a friggin' standard?

I compared it to HET and MECA which are gambling things or something. Did I really screw up 3 days of work?

When in doubt, go to the Hitchhiker's Guide!

...Blah. I guess I don't really have a choice anymore. If I pick a random SIC I may still be wrong so I'm better off sticking with what I've got.

It looks like 7999 is the one that is the online casinos. 7375 seems to be more database information retrieval. I'll check tomorrow at work - I see the SIC codes in the data we analyze, and I'm sure there's a few online casinos in there.
