Well, after a year of suffering through 28.8k dialup, my local phone company FINALLY decided to make dsl available where I live. So I got it going and life is finally good again. Dialup sucks!!!

I haven't used dial-up in 4 years.
My home has never had DSL.
Cable > DSL.
Thx.

Yeah I had cable at the last place I lived, it's definitely better.
But when you live out in the middle of nowhere in Alaska...you take what you can get and are happy about it.

I'm jealous, AkMan! I'm still on dial-up. We do not have DSL available where I live, and I have been waffling on cable for some time now. If I can just stop procrastinating and buy the new computer, I will get cable when it arrives. Now, all I have to do is make myself decide what the heck I want and order the bloody thing!

Eww yeah...I hate dial up. I've not used it in a while myself, and couldn't see myself going back. Welcome to the 21st century, Akman! Hopefully HN will join us soon, too! ;p

I got cable in 2000. Some people say that the 21st century didn't start til 2001 so if that's the case...I WIN TOO YAY!!!:D

I had DSL for a few years and now have cable.. Tell ya the truth I don't see any difference when it comes to webpage loads and gemstone or anything like that. Sure if you're downloading huge files it makes a difference, but DSL definitely doesn't suck.
