I have a few boxfounds with some nice spells on them but I forget how to tell if they can be recharged and if they crumble or not.
Did some searching over at krakii but couldnt find the specific info.

Have a bard sing to them.

rechargeables will be valued more than the pawnshop can afford.

Ahh great tip - thanks, this is exactly what I meant.
I remember you used to be able to lick embeddables and it meant non crumbly, stuff like that.

When you lick, bitter is crumbly, metallic isn't as I recall. Not sure if this still applies.

That was changed and no longer applies.

You offer to sell your platinum buckle to the pawnbroker.
Kilron grits his teeth and says, "Sorry The Dude, that's worth at least 145464 silvers, but I'll offer you 35,000 silver for it."
[To accept the offered price, attempt to resell it again within the next 30 seconds.]
You gesture at an ivory-inlaid platinum buckle.
You sense that this is a magical item.
There seems to be no spells or charges but the flows of essence are strangely attracted to it. You estimate that it can contain an average amount of mana.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.
So maybe this is a blank rechargeable?

Agreed, get it sung to...but you can also wear it and check info and skills for most enhancives (won' easily identify the the hp, spirit, stamina, and mana regen multipliers so also find a bard). That price seems too high to just be a blank embeddible.

This is very wrong. It only applies to enhancives. Even then, I've had a few small enhancives (+3 mana or a +2 health recovery) that have been bought by the pawnshop. The lowest price for a rechargable I've found is about 8k.

I've had a few mage rechargables, enhancives and rechargeables/enhancives over the last few weeks.
1. mage rechargables - all sold for 20-30k at the gemshop.
2. enhancives - some enhancives were very valuable but sold for 35k as that is the max the pawnshop will pay, HOWEVER, I can't recall if the Gemshop says that item is too expensive, come back tomorrow for ALL of em or sometimes offers the 35k and sometimes doesn't.
3. rechargeables/enhancives - same as enhancives.
The only way I could be sure if the items were rechargable is by having a bard sing to it
