I just want to say that I thought the title is a little misleading for this forum and I am a little let down.. how cool would it be to have THAT trophy.

Anyways. Ah. Before I go through all the trouble of clicking on that link, can we donate through Paypal?

Also.. a free bump. Sort of.

Looks like you can only donate through visa or mastercard.

My friends did the challenge in November and had a blast, watch out for the secret end obstacle.

Great. Way to ruin a surprise secret end obstacle. I bet you ruined The Sixth Sense too.

Someone in a black helmet is Luke's father. I'm not going to ruin it though.

It's all fun and games until you sit down with your brand new copy of Old Yeller and someone ruins it for you.

The "mystery" obstacle wasn't that big of a problem. The dangling electric wires didn't really hurt, but you felt them. The water in Tampa will be much warmer than the nice 35 degree water we swam through in Vermont.

The real tips are to wear gloves, don't wear a hat and don't wear a hydration pack. Keep moving, even if that means keeping a steady walk. Stopping will make you cramp and you'll see LOTS of people on the sides groaning and resting. Especially keep moving after you get in the water so you can keep warm.

If you can have fun while suffering, you'll do fine. The worst obstacle for me was the boa constricter, because I'm claustrophobic and crawling through a tube that's going under water really pushed that fear. The Berlin walls are next to impossible without help, but there will be plenty of people there to help. A lot of people seemed unable to do pullups over those walls after running 8 miles, but this really shouldnt be an issue for most people. Work your endurance running up hill too.
