Thought someone might find the numbers useful for something er other if they're doing research. Fusion enhancive.

You slip the ayveneh potion from one of the ample loops lining the inside your thick leather satchel.
>pour pot on leath
You pour your potion on the leathers.
1d100: 74 + Modifiers: 171 == 245

As the liquid coats the surface of the black double leathers, you murmur a few words of power while gesturing over the leathers.
The liquid quickly seeps into the black double leathers and leaves nothing behind but a faint glow.
You examine the leathers closely and, though the faint glow appears to be fading rapidly, are satisfied that it is ready to take a standard tempering potion.
Roundtime: 20 sec.
That was the last drop.
The ayveneh potion shatters into twinkling dust.
>take mir pot
You slip the mirtokh potion from one of the ample loops lining the inside your thick leather satchel.
>pour pot on leath
You pour your potion on the leathers.
1d100: 38 + Modifiers: 401 == 439

The faint glow fades from some mottled black double leathers.
As the liquid coats the surface of the black double leathers, a misty aura fills the air surrounding it, dancing around your fingers as you gesture over it with a soft incantation spilling from your lips. Small runic symbols flare to life at various points along the surface of the leathers, their blurry edges wavering in response to the cadence of your voice and the liquid in these areas absorbing quickly beneath the surface. When the last of the liquid has vanished, the symbols dissipate and the leathers appears faded. You scrutinize the black double leathers, notice nothing amiss, and conclude that the tempering seems to have been successful. You estimate that the black double leathers should be ready to enchant in about 11 to 12 days.
Roundtime: 20 sec.
You only have one dose left.

Do you have your numbers for the 5x temper? I'm curious if that will be possible without a lot of wizard ranks.

Do you have your numbers for the 5x temper? I'm curious if that will be possible without a lot of wizard ranks.

Wizard ranks are only a factor when casting 925, they aren't a factor when tempering. When pre-tempering empty socket fusion items or sanctified items there is a flat 220 penalty to the pour modifiers formula. This penalty is, according to Naos, an indicator of the increased enchant difficulty. Since we don't see the enchant rolls we don't know how much more difficult the enchant actually is.

If you look at the formula below, you'll see that the only difference between pre-tempering a 4x, 5x or 6x item is the enchant bonus portion of the formula, which is minimal.

Tempering pour 'modifiers' formula:

MIU skill + LOG bonus + INT bonus + trunc(AUR bonus + WIS bonus)/2 + Potion Bonus - Item enchant bonus - Encumbrance Penalty - Armor Penalty - Pre-tempering item penalty.

MIU skill: 324

LOG bonus: 25
INT bonus: 27
AUR bonus: 24
WIS bonus: 27

Ayveneh bonus: 20
Mirtokh bonus: 30

Item enchant bonus: 30

Pre-temper fusion item penalty: 220

Pre-temper pour on +30 fusion item with ayveneh potion:

You slip the ayveneh potion from one of the ample loops lining the inside your thick leather satchel.
>pour pot on leath
You pour your potion on the leathers.
1d100: 74 + Modifiers: 171 == 245

324 + 25 + 27 + 25 + 20 - 30 - 220 = 171

Standard pour on +30 item with mirtokh:

You slip the mirtokh potion from one of the ample loops lining the inside your thick leather satchel.
>pour pot on leath
You pour your potion on the leathers.
1d100: 38 + Modifiers: 401 == 439

324 + 25 + 27 + 25 + 30 - 30 = 401
