Lock/trap difficulty?

I don’t know if anything about lock/trap difficulty in GS4 has been posted elsewhere but I am curious. What is the highest lock anyone has seen for GS4? And how high do the traps go now? I believe they used to be a lot tougher in GS3. At least I think they were.

My rogue is like fifteen trains right now so I won’t be breaking any records for a long time.

I don't think so. There were some major changes tho, WIS is out, INT is in. The lores were changed quite a bit.

My top I got at 20th and was about a -350 trap with lores running, but I only double disarm/pick. I haven't seen anything higher than that since.

Thats the highest lock I've ever seen.

My max lock was -1000.

Highest trap I've seen was somewhere around -400.

Those were from the Maaghara's tower so I'm assuming your friend's was from the rift or Old Ta. Just pulling numbers out of my arse I'd figure the last 20 levels may push locks to around -1400-1500.

I believe the GSIII boxes had higher numbers but thats because of the expanded level ranges and ability to have more sheer ranks on top of the lore.

She is 88 trains. The highest lock she remembers getting in GS3 was -1570 or thereabouts. I think this box was her highest in GS4 so far. It was a rift box, plane 3 I think. I don't know what the highest trap she has gotten though.

Aren't you typically landing based? Need EN or Rift for the tougher ones if thats what you want.

Yeah, it was from Stronghold. I went to EN for about an hour and proceeded to leave with three less deeds.

Picked a -900 and disarmed a -370, but I'm only 2x'ed in lockpicking/disarm.

Generally lock and trap difficulty correlate, but it's different for Rift and OTF boxes for some reason. Got a -200ish rod trap a few days ago, snapped my vaalin lockpick with lore on on that same box.

At 26, the highest I've picked is -520, and the highest I've disarmed is I think -180 (scarab). I've seen a scales trap that was over 400 on a rift box.
