max weighted(50 points)
How do you know this is max weighting?

because the GM couldnt take it any further?

That answers why three weapons were thought to be over 60 pts but ended up with 10-30

GM buddy of mine told me 50 points is the 'highest', just like +50 AS (10x) weapons.
My 'first to level 25' claid is +50 AS +50 crit weighting (tested, assessed, and confirmed via GM).

While I'm not going to argue the weighting cause I don't know, and I never asked anyone I knew about how weighting works.
the "highest" AS of +50 (x10) isn't exactly correct, the new style troll weapons from the last EG auction go to +55 (x11) before they start the cycle over again at +30. And aren't there a few really old weapons floating around (okay locked away in someone's vault) in prime that go above +50?

well that's why I put 'highest' in quotes... it's a loose maximum.
I also had a GM swear to me that there was no such thing as an old style bastard sword.
His opinion changed when I showed him one I owned.

Padding/weighting ranges from 1-50 50 being the max. It is a set amount and does not vary. I.e somewhat = 5, not 5-6, masterful = 20, ECP = 15, HCP/HCW = 10
Padding past 5 points ranges from 5 to x where x is the amount of padding said item has. If the padding is somewhat or 5 points, it is constant and does not vary/randomize.
So if an item has 20 points of padding, the medium/average padding on said item is 10
etc

Except I don't think padding fluctuation drops below somewhat, so the average for 20 points is more like 13

That I'm not sure.

I wont argue either since I've never owned one for enough time to test... But I'd bet on it , that weapons/armor are out there that exceed what GMs will tell you exist. My old longsword would jump to 20x randomly. Buggy.

I know of two weapons that were supposed to be past 50, both ended up being well under 50. What I discovered is that their value ended up being (expected outcome - 50). The third weapon was Meureii's shaalk claidhmore which was supposedly extra weighted but ended up with 30pts. Anyways, I am just curious if they dealt with weighting differently back in GSII and GSIII that would have caused this error with these two weapons I know about.

You'd be right. Some people just don't tell people what they have. Don't want it being nerfed. :) My longsword got nerfed as soon as I told someone.

I also assessed snoopys blade it assesses as "wonderous", which I assume is 50 points. Fantastic I believe is normal claidh weighting or 40 ptss. Cupcake said she added 10 points. I also assessed another blade that was max weighted and it was also 'wondrous.'

Yeah I'm willing to say that the set standard max is +50 for weighting/padding and enchants, while the coding allows for more. Aftrer all it's a set value, it can't be that hard to change the value to above 50.
I just wouldn't expect to see any GM do anything above the set standard except on rare occasions.

So if an item has 20 points of padding, the medium/average padding on said item is 10
It's padding past six points that varies randomly between six points and the stated padding amount. Masterful (20) padding would average 13 points of protection. (At least, 13 is the median amount of protection offered--it'll only actually average 13 points of protection if the padding randomization is distributed symmetrically about the median, which is something that we don't know for sure, but is probably safe to assume.)
Critical weighting doesn't randomize, but the critical rank on any given hit does.
