Anyone know what factors determine forage roundtime?

Wounds, I'd think is one.

Wounds determines foraging success, not RT

Ah, see, I had thought that if I attempted to forage with a broken hand it'd stack my RT pretty hard.

Strange that it doesn't. Maybe it's just random?

Haste.

The base roundtime for a successful foraging attempt is based on the number of forageables in the room prior to your foraging attempt.

Five forageables in room = 5 second rt
Four forageables in room = 6 second rt
Three forageables in room = 7 second rt
Two forageables in room = 8 second rt
One forageable in room = 9 second rt

These RTs can be reduced by haste or 650.

Never knew that, neat.

Thanks for the info

The minimum RT seems to be 5 seconds, and when an RT is longer it has other factors taken into account. For example, if you "stumble about" in a clumsy foraging attempt, the RT is much longer. Your injuries affect your success/failure, not your RT.

I would guess that the forage RT operates in a manner similar to the "dice" roll to determine the success/failure of your foraging attempt. In other words...it's randomized, plus or minus other factors.

I've never gotten more than the RT listed in Amber's post on a successful forage. On failed attempts, the RT is random (or operates under some convoluted hidden system).

This appears to only be valid for successful forages. Unsuccessful forages seem to be random, or (as a previous poster suggested) roll-oriented, somehow.

Oh oh, now Simutronics is hiding things? Hidden systems? I'm sure it can all be explained by the northern lights or swamp gas. Fucking loonies.

Hidden rolls aren't anything new and, good or bad, they are used in quite a few systems.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this was sarcasm.
