Yes I'm making this thread.

No one could be happier about it being back then me, but I really don't need the Jersey Shore in my life every 2 months MTV. Let these things marinate a bit.

That said I thought the first episode was pretty good, obviously the producers picked a good new housemate and she immediately decicded to come out firing all cannons. Also the Sammi vs J-woww round 2 was a bit disappointing. After their first fight I thought J-woww might have just had a bad fight but it's starting to look like she really does fight like a girl.

Agreed, Deena will be a great addition. All the drama and none of the "I want to stomp her face on the curb" of Angelina. I actually liked the Sammi vs JWoww round 2. JWoww landed like three nice punches, but yeah, all the face-pushing is kinda stupid. I used to like Sammi, even through last season's whinyness, but this episode made me really see that she's a pathetic little douche. Jenni tried to let it go, apologize, whatever. Sammi couldn't let it go and she acted like a total cunt to everyone in this first episode, even the new girl who she didn't even give a chance. W/e, any unhappiness she finds in that house is her doing.

Also, I think it's hilarious that "snookie" or whatever that horrendous thing is called has been saying she thinks the show will go on for another 20 seasons. Sam has always been a wet blanket but Ronnie provides excellent entertainment value. Also I'm not sure why Snooki's tall friend from season 2 didn't come on the show. I agree Deena is a good choice, but I wonder if Snooki is so integral to the show that she forced the producers to take Deena after Vinnie mvPP'd Ryder who was the more obvious choice for season 3. Although maybe they really knew what they were doing, Deena really exploded and Ryder did have somewhat of a wet blanket feel during her guest starring in season 2.

Thursday's Season 3 premiere of MTV's reality soap scored 8.4 million total viewers, up 62% compared with last season's opener, according to the Nielsen Co. That made it the network's most-watched series telecast ever.

The news puts to rest any notion that Snooki and friends may have peaked. "Jersey Shore's" ratings have been steadily climbing since it premiered in December 2009, when just 1.4 million tuned in. The Season 2 rollout in July averaged 5.2 million viewers.

Well from the previews of this season, i'm willing to bet Sammi won't come back for season 4 and Ronnie will be the trainwreck we were lucky enough to witness in the first few episodes of Miami. I can only hope, because he's so goddamn fun to watch when he's shitfaced and sucking on grenades. I liked Ryder (and the two seemed really close so i'm surprised she slept with Vinny, assuming she knew how Snooki felt about him), however Deena seems like much more of a tv personality, as we've already seen.

Best Snooki line this episode: I will come after you like a squirrel monkey.

I know Snooki has had a lot of great lines but I think my all-time favorite is from early on in season 2 when she was forced to wash dishes by hand and complained that, "I feel like a pilgrim, back in the 20s."

2 and 3 weren't filmed at the same time though. Season 2 in Miami was filmed one year ago, early 2010 in the winter. Remember in the beginning when they were all leaving for Miami... all the snow on the ground. They were in the house 2 months I guess, and then went home for a few months before filming season 3 in Jersey, which took place this summer. Snooki was arrested on July 30th, and that'll be on this season.

This was definitely the worst episode in a long time. Sammi and Ronnie fighting is just boring at this point.

I dunno, I liked it. Not the fighting part, although I was kind of like.. what did she do this time at the end of the episode. I didn't quite get why he was giving her shit when usually it's TOTALLY obvious (her bitchitude).

But the whole ass-doctor thing was kinda funny, and that Snooki quote is probably my favorite yet. Inviting the stalker back to the house just to make fun of her didn't seem like something Pauly would do, but I guess it was kinda funny.

Although all the desperation in the first 10 minutes between Deena and Snooki and all those sloppy gross kisses were hard to watch. Even more so than the fighting between Sammi and Ron.

I can't wait til next week though, did you see those previews? Not only is Sammi leaving, but we get to see some serious melt-downs before that. /squee!

Yeah, Sammi leaving the show is going to be great, I'm excited about that happening. Do you think they replace her next year in Italy? The obvious replacement would probably be Ryder but I don't think having 3 Snooki types in the house would make sense. My vote: Mike's sister.

I don't know, honestly. I'd be totally fine if they didn't replace her at all, just so long as she doesn't come back for season 4 (unless they're totally over each other and there is NO FUCKING FIGHTING). I guess Mike's sister would work. Pretty sure I wouldn't want to watch a whole season of Ryder.
