I'm pumped!!!

LET'S GO BUFFALO! LET'S GO BUFFALO! LET'S GO BUFFALO! LET'S GO BUFFALO!

What about the rumors that Manning doesn't want to go to the Chargers, and the Chargers might trade down because of it?

Last year, my senior year of college, when we drafted Willis Magahee, I ran up and down the halls of my dorm screaming and whooping. I think those Bostonites don't know anything about being a football fan, since some of these so-called Patriots fans weren't even WATCHING the draft, let alone cheering for it.

I'm watching! Tired as fuck cuz I didn't go to bed until 6, but I'm up!

Fuck Eli Manning and the rest of his family, those spoiled brats. That's why it is called a DRAFT, you don't get to choose where you go. If he's such a good quarterback, then go to a crappy team like the Chargers and make them better. They have Ladanian Tomlinson, you know how much pressure that'd take off a young QB?

Buffalo will draft their clarett round 1. I am a bostonite and i watch SO DIE

I think San Diego will draft him and trade for Rivers.

While I agree that's a messed up move on the Mannings' part, I can understand why he doesn't want to play there. They have no offensive line, he'll get killed. Not only is the risk of injury there, but he'll lose confidence trying to throw the ball, etc.

But yeah, this is something every other qb has to face coming into the draft...so...yeah.

I can't wait to see how he reacts if/when they choose him..heh.

They're on the clock now!

There was a big chorus of boos the first time they showed Eli's down syndrome-like mug on TV.

As Chris Judd in Breakfast Club would say, B-O-O H-O-O.

He held up the jersey and stood for pics...they started chanting "Wear the hat!" and "Eli Sucks"

Poor guy...

There's nothing poor about the Mannings.

Looks like if they don't trade him, he's prepared to sit out the whole year.

Hey, Eli, would you rather AFGHANISTAN?

So why didn't the Chargers just choose Rivers? Makes no sense to me.

Manning belongs in NY (ok, technically NJ) and the Chargers are stupid.

Furthermore, the Mets are beating the Cubs in an hour, so I really can't care very much about football.

Weedmage Princess

To get more.

They got a third round pick this year, and their first and third round pick next year...

I didn't think they'd give up all that just for Eli Manning. Wow.

ThisOtherKingdom
04-24-2004, 01:14 PM
Ehh, the Chargers made out okay. I wouldn't want Eli Manning on my team after the little stink he made. He'll be a complainer like that his whole career I bet.

I think he's going to live up to the Manning name. I don't agree with what he and his father did, but I think he's going to be an outstanding quarterback. Obviously the Giants are banking on that too, cause damn...they gave up A LOT.

That would be a waste of a draft choice since he's ineligible for this years draft.

Up to #13 and all four defensive linemen I was hoping the Bears could get are still available. I'll be happy no matter what! Unless of course they draft offense.

Reggie Williams, I think? I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure it was a WR. Check their main page.

Did the Bears trade Kordell or did he just get cut and is in oblivion somewhere?

Grossman has been outplaying him in camp.

The bears stink. My vikes and even the packers will finish above them easily.

ThisOtherKingdom
04-24-2004, 04:38 PM
Grossman is definately the Bears starter, and Stewart was cut in March. Tendarian, what makes you think you can brag about your Vikings after the embarassing nose dive you did at the end of last season?

What you meant was, the Bears STUNK. We had the worst offensive coordinator in the history of football, and things are going to be a lot different this year. I look forward to Charles Tillman completely shutting down Randy Moss again this year.

Did they still finish ahead of the bears? Plus if you're taking into account this year the Vikes picked up a pro bowl DB and an adequate second WR for this year plus who they draft.

I don't care where they finished, neither team made the playoffs. And the Bears made some great off-season acquisitions as well, we didn't just sit on our hands. Players and coaches alike. If you're expecting the same team under the Jauron era, you're gonna be in for a huge surprise and a 0 - 2 record against us this year on top of that.

Tendarian
04-24-2004, 04:52 PM
I wish we could make bets on here or something. I will be horrified if the Vikes dont take both games from the bears this year. Id even bet most people(neutral fans) think the Vikes will be better than the Bears.

ThisOtherKingdom
04-24-2004, 04:53 PM
Yeah, and most neutral people would be basing that on our performance under crappy coaching the last 4 years. Most neutral people would be ignorant of all the off-season changes we've made, so most neutral people don't mean crap to me.

Tendarian
04-24-2004, 04:57 PM
They also arnt biased for either time like we both obviously are :)

I follow football pretty closely and I still think the Bears suck. I also think the Vikings are choke artists.. I like Green Bay winning the north, I also think the Lions will be a surprise this year.

I can see that happening as well sadly, but i hope not.

 The only way i agree with this is if you mean they will win 0-2 games and thats the surprise. I think the Bears will even be better than them.

The Bills made a gutsy move. I like it. #13 they Lee Evans, and #22 they got J.P. Losman. Losman is a bit of a gamble, but....I think it'll work out, cause he can be mentored by Drew (definately not an out-of-the-gates first round QB).

The Bills gave up this years 2nd rounder and 5th, plus their #1 next year, to whoever asked.

I was just shocked the Bills dealt with the Cowboys at all. I would almost rather deal with the devil. Though, when coked up, Jerry Jones is very much like the devil.

Because if they picked up Rivers, Oakland would have picked up Eli Manning, which would have sucked since Oakland is in the same division. They made sure Oakland didn't get Manning, and then got who they actually wanted.
