8.2/10 on IMDb, I'd say so.

I thought it was a great movie, definitely not a chick flick.
The ass-raping scenes kind of take it out of that category.

UH, SPOILER WARNING PLEASE.

I think Spun got a little imaginative, I didn't see any ass-raping. It was implied (and it was early in the movie, relax).

That being said, this movie gets five WTF?!?!?'s. I have no idea what Clint was thinking. I have no idea what I'm thinking. It's not that it's weird, or that it's confusing, or that it's unsettling. Some mix of those. If you can picture walking slowly on a chilly, windy night, that's about the half of it. I'm not a poet. :( Just go see it.

The lesson? Stick to non chick flicks.

ie, don't go to see anything with Renee Zellweger or J. Lo or blah blah...unless they get naked

I have not seen: LOTR, The Passion, Kill Billy I and II etc on and on ad nausem. I wouldn't hold your breath on me seeing Mystic River any time soon. I am saving myself for Shrek 2

Jerry Maguire wasn't a chick flick, Renee Zelwegger was good in that, good movie too.

Nah, never seen Mystic River. Is this the one with Tommy Lee Jones?

Nah, never seen Mystic River. Is this the one with Tommy Lee Jones? Sean Penn, Kevin Bacon, and what's his name, the creepy guy. He was just on the Daily Show too, damn. He was the yuppie in High Fidelity. Hold on... Tim Robbins. Creepy creepy creepy. Laurence Fishburn plays a character named Whitey, if that helps. There's also the woman from Space Cowboys, the scientist Tommy Lee falls for. She's creepy too, frankly.

Jerry Maguire was complete total, utter bullshit chick flick.

God, I watched it once, puked when she said, "You had me at hello", turned it off, and have never watched it since.

I think it very well may be the worst I'm-trying-to-disguise-the-fact-that-I'm-a-chick-flick-with-some-sports-plot movie, ever.

Implied ass raping and a crying kid is a lot more disturbing to me than say, the ass raping scene in Pulp Fiction.

It was a good movie, at least I think so. It is confusing, and unsettling, I agree. But it's a interesting too.

Scary too at times.

One movie I wouldn't recommend---Secret Window with Johnny Depp.

I saw man of fire tonight and the bomb in the ass scene was pure brilliance.
