So.........who didn't tell me the Family Guy was coming back to television?

I used to watch Fuse, until they canceled Kung Faux and Behind The Music That Sucks.

Yup, the news about Family Guy has been out for awhile. In fact, there is a full length movie in the making. It's not a hard decision when you realize that the DVD was the number four selling series of all time. To quote:

"Family Guy finally made it to DVD in the UK, and then the US, where it became the number one best selling television series DVD set of the year, and the fourth best selling series of all time. Volume 2 of Family Guy's DVD release continues to sell very well. Family Guy now airs on Cartoon Network in the US, and Teletoon in Canada. It is the most watched show in CN's history. With this new interest in Family Guy, Fox began talking to FG's creator (Seth MacFarlane) on when he could resume production of Family Guy. This would make Family Guy, the FIRST television series ever to be canceled, and then renewed years later as a direct result of DVD sales.

Seth MacFarlane has said in interviews he believes Family Guy will be ready for air sometime in December 2004, or January 2005. Stay tuned to THIS guide where we will break all the new details on the series as they become available. "

I was at that game today, now that you mention it! I was on one of the infamous Wrigley rooftops with free tickets and free beer all game. Oh, not to mention perfect weather and a Cubs win. :smilegrin:

While Family Guy isn't on the same level as the Simpsons, I believe if it were given a few years, it could have come to an almost equal level in mainstream.... except for the toning down of its original concepts and the fact that people react too harshly to the racist/over-the-top jokes.
