My understand of Shattered was that there were no rules. No GMs, just the game. Griefing, disarming and stealing weapons, doing whatever the hell you wanted. Taking that against people playing seems silly; if you can't handle it, you should cap yourself, or get some buddies and gang up on them. I realize that this isn't what some people expected when they started Shattered, but that's what it is, and because it wasn't what you expected doesn't change the fact that you have to adjust to the current terrain.

I don't play Shattered so I don't have a dog in this fight, but if someone has a capped character they want to sell, and the person buying it is aware of the baggage, what's the problem? "Rewarding griefers"? The game itself rewards griefers. If you can't handle the heat....

Heh, as a person who owned Tsin for a few months(with all the negative baggage THAT came with), I can say that it really wasn't a big deal. I wasn't a douche to people and people reacted accordingly. I actually had some really good interactions along the way.

On the other hand, the situation with Jaimaltz is a bit different. I suspect Jaimaltz is right and only someone who intended to grief with him would buy him given the circumstances. For that reason I can't see the character going for very much money... I'm sure it would be more than a quarter, but I seriously doubt it would be anywhere near what the character would be worth without the bad rep. For the same reason, Tsin didn't sell for nearly what he was actually worth. I bought him for 1100 and sold him for 1100, and he was 3 times cap and has the pure coreasine flamberge.

So yeah, I think either Jaimaltz will stay in the hands of it's current owner or sell for a small amount.

You haven't followed along very well. You may also want to learn what Death's Sting does and then figure out how that would affect invisibility, immolate, and/or implosion.
