ANALYZE: You analyze your dented vaalorn breastplate and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions, but the creator has stated that "The item type should not change."

You carefully inspect your dented vaalorn breastplate.

Your careful inspection of a badly dented vaalorn breastplate allows you to conclude that it is plate armor that covers the torso only.

You determine that you could wear the breastplate around your chest. The breastplate appears to serve some purpose.

You remember that you registered this item between three and four years ago.

It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of vaalorn.

"ANALYZE: You analyze your dented vaalorn breastplate and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions, but the creator has stated that "The item type should not change."

What does this mean? You can change the look but it has to stay breastplate?

That usually means that the noun has to stay the same or the scripts have some sort of adjective or noun restriction. A GM would be able to clarify.

So you don't know if i'd be able to take out the "badly dented" parted?

So you don't know if i'd be able to take out the "badly dented" parted?

I can't say that with 100% assurance, but I am pretty confident that you would be able to remove badly dented. The scripts don't say anything to indicate that badly dented is the important aspect of it, more likely that "breastplate" is.

I was told last night that it means that the noun cannot change. The description may change and a show added with no consequence. It is more for the CCF possibility of changing an item from a breastplate to full plate.

Pretty decent price still imho... I bought and sold a 4x HCP mbp a year and half ago for about 20mil. I'm not sure if prices have dropped or what.

To much decent stuff for sale lately ... I need more silver.
