Anyone into cigars?

Since I quit smoking cigarettes I have been exploring the world of cigars.

Before anyone starts... yes, I know that the curing process has chemicals that are as bad for you as cigarettes, and that smoking cigars, while not normally inhaled, can still lead to various cancerous problems.

All of that aside I have found cigar smoking to be a better substitute for quitting hardcore smoking than the patch or gum. Not even so much socially but when I am driving around.

Anyway I am enjoying Sancho Panza square press dark narrow gauge. I was with Monte Cristo for a while but they gave me heart burn. The lighter tobaccos all give me terrible heart burn.

Dutch Master Palma is ok for the cheap. All the kids laugh at me and think I am smoking a blunt.

They aren't inhaled?

Why are you hanging around with kids... smoking blunts?

Nope. They are puffed.

You’ll get majorly sick if you inhale.

Kids like candy better than cigars.

Maker's Mark cigars are my favorite. Best enjoyed with a nice Knob Creek and coke on the rocks.

CAO Cameroon.

I think their MX2 or LX2 (something like that) is a darker Maduro wrapper.

I've been out of the cigar world for a while but I loved the CAO Cameroon.

All of their cigars are fantastic.

I believe George said it best...

Haven’t we had about enough of this cigar smoking shit? When are these fat, arrogant, overfed, white-collar business criminals going to extinguish their cigars and move along to their next abomination?

Soft, white, business pussies suckin’ on a big brown dick. That’s all it is, folks, a big brown dick. You know, Freud used to say, ‘Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.’ Yeah? Well, somtimes it’s a big brown dick! With a fat, criminal-business asshole sucking on the end of it!

But, hey. The news is not all bad for me. Not all bad. Want to hear the good part? Cancer of the mouth. Good! Fuck ‘em! Makes me happy; it’s an attractive disease. So light up suspender man, and suck that smoke deep down into your empty suit. And blow it out your ass you miserable cocksucker.

I enjoy a nice Hoyo de Monterry Excalibur "Churchill" cigar once in a while.

I inhale half, roll half around in the mouth before blowing it out.

Wow that sounds wrong..

Cigars are constantly changing. I used to smoke a lot, now I only do occassionally. I own 2 humidors, only 1 is currently in use. One of my good friends has a cigar radio show which I actually will be on relatively soon, so I talk quite a bit about cigars.

Currently, my favorite cigars are from Nicaragua. Some of the good ones are the Oliva Serie V's (my favorite is the 7x52 churchill). I also enjoy San Cristobal and Padrons 6 and 7000. The Exile line is good too and the best priced out of all the ones I'm listing.

If you can get your hands on it, try a Drew Estates Liga Privada #9. It's a rare one to find. It's also the only Drew Estates line I would recommend. Good luck finding it though. The owner of Drew Estates is a strange guy. He only allows certain people to sell certain lines of his cigars. It's some sort of loyalty/rewards program he has in place.

The Ashton VSG line is great too and generally readily available. I recommend the Wizard.

You might read a lot of good reviews for the La Gloria Cubana Series R line. A few years ago, this line was one of the most popular out there. To meet the demand, they increased the quantity produced and sacrificed quality. The new ones produced aren't all that good.

I collect cigars too. I have a few pre-embargo cubans that I probably will never smoke. You'll probably hear a lot about the Opus X line. They're a good line, but I recommend aging them for a few months before smoking them.

Just watch where you buy any of your cigars from. A cigar that's too wet or too dry burns poorly and will ruin the experience. Make sure they're not kept in an area well exposed to the sun. If you're buying a number of them to keep in your home, check all of them for any pin sized holes. These holes indicate that they have beetles and will quickly ruin all your cigars.

Apparently all cigars have the eggs for beetles. When they get above a certain temperature for an extended period of time, they hatch and they will eat your cigars. This summer I lost about 300 dollars worth of cigars to them.

Saint Luis Rey Churchills. They're exquisitely made, and mild enough that I can enjoy them for the entire smoke. Can't get them too often, but try to enjoy them on special occasions.

I've not tried or heard of the Sancho Panza cigars, but please, don't waste your time with Dutch Masters. Kids think you're smoking a blunt because they're shit. They use short filler which is cheap bottle of the barrel shit.

SLRs are good! They have a new line I've heard some good things about!

Heh I know the Dutch Master thing is weak. But I am budgeting right now so a buck a pop just to puff while I drive isn’t bad.

The Panzas are Hondouran and thats all I really know about them except that I like the mild flavor and they don’t burn my throat. The wonders of the internet provide...

I tried Cohibas for a while and while a nice cigar it is a little high on price point. I am getting the Panzas for $4 each and that seems reasonable to me on my particular budget.

Cigars are like if the weed man charged you 250% extra for the handcraft of rolling a white L.

The symmetry of the crease in the cancer paper is a perfect line. Here's $30 dollars for a Padron that costs about a half pence.

Fuckers.

I like'm though.

I’m not going to lie. While I do enjoy the ritual, the smoke, the paraphernalia and ash... to me, a good fresh cigar smells and tastes like sweet pussy. Am I wrong?

Unless you're dating a tobacco plant, you're very very very wrong.

Maybe on the basis that vagina doesn't taste/smell like burning leaves....

Yeah. Mostly that. I was just going to let it go, AR, as it was almost too sad and painful to dwell on.

In his defense, I don't think he meant while lit ...

However, a good fresh cigar unlit does not and should not smell anything like vagina.

This had good thread potential, but now, it has retard thread potential.

I bet, shoot, hold on. I've got some quarters here.

Sorry. Alright, $2.50 cents that there have, are and will be cigars used in the vag' region and then... Smegma-scented cigars?

This could be a very profitable industry. And for the sake of all that is holy in this universe, I will not further elaborate.

Oh, well yeah, no shit.

Anyway, you can probably make this thread have potential if you get back on-topic with the off-topic part about how your purported vagina encounters resemble fresh-scent fabric sheets. Vaminos. Try and be serious about it and not look at this post or the other ones that ruined any potential for perpetuating your analogy with little regard to its being an analogy.
