Does anyone happen to know of a good literature piece on the topic of failed states? I'm currently searching google but if one of you knows of a book offhand that would be super awesome.
My paper is concerning the failed state of Somalia and the borderline failed state of Yemen, or something along those lines.

Google Books would be a bit better, but for best effect, search a large university library, or access a scholarly search engine (usually through a college library) like Academic Search Complete.

I'm not certain as to useful it'd be, so hit me with a PM if so, but I recall Stratfor writing a lengthy article regarding Mexico, and how it's not exactly in danger of being a failed state, but should the situation with the cartels turn dire, it could be in risk of being one.
Obviously the difference is that Somalia and Yemen were more terrorist-related, but drug cartels undermining the writ of state (Mexico) could be an useful parallel.

That might help turn up some articles too. Not too sure about on this topic, but I use it to get science journal articles.

Taking some shots at Noam Chomsky might also be helpful.

Also, if anyone has anything interesting concerning Somalia or Yemen that would be nice. Especially first hand experience.
