Limewire or Winmx. Kazaa has way to many of those screwed up mp3's and such. They have really gone to shit.

I've used Limewire, Kazaa, and WinMX. Limewire is by far the worst. WinMX used to crash if I tried to download more than 3 files simultaneously, but it works great now. Kazaa sucks if only because of those freaks who send out copyright warning things. Those were so dumb.

I hate Limewire.. it used to give me errors all the time and crash constantly for me. That could be just my ancient computer though. Never had problems with WinMx.

Payed the 9.95 fee like two years ago so as to avoid any adware and its worked fine for me.

I've downloaded a few things using mIRC, but what I can't do is find the correct host if I'm looking for a specific file in a large room. Total suckage.

I tried to download some Family Guy episodes, ended up with All Your Base Are Belong to Us and some cheerleader porn.

I was under the impression they mostly checked people by scanning their shared folders. I closed all folders in my system to sharing in the configiruation of Limewire.

I was under the impression that protected me from most snooping.

Mirc is good if you find the right people at the right time and there's no line. But the speeds still suck ass.
