Same Sex Baby

I know it says in the link im about to post that it wont be possible for a while but just curious what you all think.

Would this mean that people couldnt say that gay marriage is different because they cant create a baby of their own? Im starting to waffle on my views of gay marriage (damn you Raven) Not because of this article either,i just found this intresting. Plus its been over a week and im getting sick of talking about Bush and Kerry.:grin:

Agreed Snapp. I don't agree with cloning, and I have mixed feelings about something like this. Im positive there will be extreme amounts of resistance just for the concept alone.

Thanks. What a nice compliment. As to the article... Huh. Interesting. The author is probably right in that it will happen some day. After all, if the technology is perfected for use in other cases, then it will most likely be put to use for 'same-sex babies' as well.

I'm sort of wondering though about just why they're doing it. I can't see a really good reason myself aside from 'because we can' and I'm not rushing out to call that a good one. I've read a lot of science fiction and ethical issues about genetic technology have been written about for decades. The ramifications bear thinking about.

Then again, the furor over the so called 'test tube babies' was great and look how that's worked out.

I think it would be great if i could have Barry Bonds and say Arod mixed into one kid and then have the Twins sign him to a 10 year deal the day he turns 21. Isnt Ted Williams's head frozen somewhere?
