I'm sure other pures have gotten better ass kickings and still kicked ass them selves...but this is the best i've seen yet..

Also a majority of the reason i get beat down so bad is because i got really bad lag on my dial up, like tonight i'm at points where i'll send a command it wont go through anywhere from 3-10 seconds...it sucks...but then i get great moments like these outta it!!! LOL

Has anyone had an enraged whatever come at them when they logged back in (say after a botched script) even though they weren't stunned? That happened to me once. Made me feel very guilty. I fixed the script, though.

Whats the big fucking deal? I survived the enraged with spirit strike zombie, I woulda survived the original stun. Its a bit much as it is now; there is no reason to be spirit striking critters. Also you don't know why I logged.

I thought it was incredibly funny, hence the post, especially since I didn't die, even after the second 50+ damage and 5 round stun.

2 A 50 HP hit isn't shit.

3 There is a reason for spirit striking critters... it's called people that slam because they are weak. Hell I'd make the creature have perma 117 until it killed you and have it only attack you. After you die it should sneer, spit on you, kick some dust and wander off.

Slamming sucks, there isn't a reason for it, if you die, you die, big deal. It sets you back all of 15 - 20 minutes.

As for enraged creatures, I was lagging really bad about two weeks ago, lagged out while hunting, came back with four enraged creatures. That sucked, but I still survived.

Maybe I just have horrid luck, but there have been occasions where I've gone link dead and come back into GS, getting stunned as a punishment for logging out against a supplicant that I didn't even know was there. That's quite annoying, though it doesn't happen often.

If they could build a system to determine a legitimate link dead from a log out, I'd be all for 117 all the way, but when you're getting your ass handed to you after the frustration of losing your connection, it's just annoying.

But see -- Anti sveetheart -- I don't care about those people, so they don't effect my gameplay. I do care about my character however, and logging back into GS after legimitely going link-dead and dying because SIMU got all paranoid about people logging while stunned DOES disrupt my gameplay.

When I play on dial up (perish the thought) because of the other house we have in the mountains, I go link dead often because the phone lines up here are static-y and just bad in general (thank god they're installing Optic for cable as we speak). Like I said, when I'm in the city it isn't much of an issue, but up here it is.

That's why I said I think the system is silly, and they should come up with one that legitimately checks if you were link dead when you logged out. So we agree more or less. I'd love to see mechanics abusers get their asses handed to them; unfortunately, the current system assumes everyone is out to abuse it.

I say the spirit strike is too much simply because this is not necessarily intentional. The critter returning from the fray is reasonable, or at least a fair reponse to people that intentional slam.

But in the "ROLEPLAYING" game we all play (for you I'll call it rollplaying), suddenly disappearing off the face of the realms when injured/in danger/hurt/or caught cybering (oops, sorry Arkans), isn't roleplaying. Thats mechanics abuse.

Logging isn't a pause button. It's a way to exit the game. Rarely will I log infront of anyone other than close friends and I always log in the same room.
