An extremely spartan build, but it will work. I don't know how fast Aura and Wisdom cap for Erithians, but you may want to give yourself a bit more growth and level out your stats. I would suggest eventually picking up some SMC. Alternating between both controls will lead you to better use of your spells and better mana returns. You primary mana control will give you +1 mana every 10 ranks, and your secondary every 20. Primary just means whichever control you have more training. For a runestaff user you have very few magical ranks. Your points are tied up in spells, which count, but one tripled spell could buy you a large amount of MIU or Arc Symbols. Consider easing up a bit if your DS isn't up to par.

You are 2x in Harness Power. 1x in Harness power = 3 mana. Being 2x in Harness Power = will yield only 4 mana. I do agree that more mana = more fun but it is expensive to get that 1 mana point.

Considering that you have a lot of spell rank, your CS should be fairly high. I bet you are not having too much trouble if any casting against the creatures. You could back off a bit on the Harness power and pick up the skills that Fallen mentioned.

Also you are 1x in Spell Aiming. Rule of thumb... either 2x in it or don't bother wasting the points there. 2x aiming will reduce the CS penalty when trying to aim for disrupted limbs. Improve your focused implosion. Help with focused Maelstrom. And allow you to bolt.

Those are the new skills. Note the 2x spell aiming, 1x HP, MIU and AS.

As for stats, I don't really know where I'd put the extra points besides Inf?

If you're going to overtrain in sorcerer spells so heavily (and I don't think it's worth it to maximize CS at your level), then only do +21 spells for now. Take those other few spell ranks and devote them to getting some more defensive spells, or ewave, or such.

Getting to 425 would benefit you about the same CS as well as having a second circle you can use to your advantage.

Then keep sorcerer spells at level and train up to 120. You really want 118 for web bolt asap.

Of course, this is a bolting build with CS as backup. If you want to do a plain CS build, just get 425, then max sorcerer ranks, and forget about spell aiming. In that case, 2x HP.

Welp, my migration period is OVER. This is what I have, and it ain't budging.

My goals will be to push to 425 by 25 and rank up my Summoning Lore to 1x, stopping at 20 ranks.

Very solid compromise. Push for 120, 425, and 2x in AS and MIU soonish.

The current build should net enough TPs for 425 by 25, while still keeping up with 1.5x Sorcerer spell ranks. I may let those atrophy to straight 1x.

Going from 1x to 2x in Magic Item Use and Arcane Symbols is a goal, certainly, but I am not entirely sure why? I hear often about them, but don't really know what they are for / do / why to spend the points.

As for 120, that is 13 spells deep in the Minor Spiritual list. Why is this a priority?

AS and MIU count toward runestaff DS and are cheap to get. 120 is an excellent defensive spell and it's just after 118, which gives you web bolt with 20 ranks of summoning lore.

MIU and Arcane Symbols are cheap magic ranks. You should have a min of 8 magic ranks while you are a runestaff wielder. On average most pures who carry a sissy stick have 10 magic ranks on average.

MIU and Arcane Symbols will help you with one of our class defining spells.... 714 scroll infusion. You will also get some nice durations. Zhelas with 202 Arcane Symbols can cast 202 from a scroll and it will last just over 2hrs.... NICE!

The defensive spell, Lesser Shroud, increases a target's generic defensive strength by 15 and increases spiritual target defense by 20. The generic defensive strength is increased by 1 for every two ranks in the Minor Spiritual spell circle above 20.

Summoning lores are nice. I personally would .5x in them till you get 20 ranks.

Sorcerer Lores: Being 1x in them won't hurt you. I personally would get 52 ranks of Demonology first. Why? at 50 ranks you will have only a 5% failure rate with Cloak of Shadows retribution. The other 2 ranks will help let you get the next level of phase 704.

I would switch over to Necromancy then. Why? For the sole reason of spell 711 (Pain)

Web bolting IS... awesome...BUT it is impractical for a low level sorcerer to use it because of the cost of mana. You can make it all the way to cap with ease by having 0 Spiritual Summoning Lores.

This being said, it was the second project I did with Zhelas to get 91 ranks of Spiritual Summoning Lores.
