Dar 2.0

I upgraded my old pet Dar last night. He was a good wolf, but for some reason kept pulling mobs when I didn't want him to... sometimes just left raids without saying a word and usually died multiple times.

I said good bye to my old, useless friend this morning.. and renamed my new wolf in his honor:

I haven't played my hunter seriously for about a year now.. and at the time they nerfed BM spec and buffed Survival spec, so I really didn't use him much at all (His name is Donkey.. which is an inside joke from HoR 1.0).

The Dar 2.0 is called a spirit beast. An exotic pet with very long respawn timers. There is a cat (I named mine Falgrim for pvp), a bear (haven't gotten this one yet....) and this wolf.

A bunch of people from HoR 1.0 (Stevenseagal, Holyrolla, Mootumbo, Rashiki) and I rolled Worgens - it's funny they all still say, "Loot your donkey!"

I wanna know the story behind Donkey. Also why is Nien on the other faction to begin with. Did HoR scare her away?

It was from molten core. The big two-headed dogs (Core Hounds) could be skinned for special crafting mats (cant remember what the leather was - core leather?) but in a raid of 40 people, not everyone would remember to loot them meaning they couldnt be skinned. I seem to recall it being Monkeysnarf that used to call out "loot your fucking donkey" but it caught on quick and became a bit of an anthem.

I switched faction after hitting HWL on my hunter just because I made a load of friends from the PVP, made another account and joined trouble who were the bad bastards alliance side at the time and have mostly been there since. After HoR I was in Bound By Carnage (Best guildname ever) and when they merged with BoB to form The Establishment, I couldnt join a guild with that name. So got bored with my alliance toons.

HoR didnt scare me away, but at times it is like a ghost guild...populated only by Rennick's alts.
