As someone who has tried to run a couple of invasions, it is tough to get people to join in. The night after Thanksgiving, I had tried for quite awhile to get the Leftovers invasion to take off.

Having an invasion inside town, or along the paths to town seems like a bad idea, since in the past, it's lead to countless deaths due to AFK scripting, and a lack of involvement from those that aren't AFK.

So, while I can't commit a week-long invasion to you guys right now, perhaps one night this month, I'll try to spice things up. I'll use the twitter feed to announce when I start, so be sure to keep an eye on that.

I'm open to ideas on what you'd like to see. Feel free to post them here.

How about the GMs visit when people are around. 4pm-12pm est.

Shattered could have invasion creatures that actually carry decent loot. Balance isn't really a concern, so have GM NPC critters with good weapons/armor/shields to kill.

I see a lot of invasions that give titles or whatever (Or I've heard of that) but yea, items are better!

The problem (and this is in Prime too) Is usually the npc's or invasion stuff is near cap, and people just starting can't really do shit! Even people that have been playing a good while can't hardly help out (especially CS casters). I saw the Thanksgiving thing, where the NPC kinda singled people out and dueled them when he was about their level. That's pretty sweet to me.
