Why do a small number of Latinos in this country seem to convert not just to Islam but to a radical form of it?

One of the reasons these officials are interested in Latino converts is that al-Qaida appears to be. The terrorist group has specifically recruited Latinos under the assumption that they could move in and around the United States without arousing suspicion.

You should be very, very afraid of this news. It should, at the very least, provide impetus for new Republican controlled Congress to act early next year.

This news comes just in time to spell doom for the DREAM Act (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DREAM_Act) that the Democrats want to vote on this week. Defeating the DREAM Act isn't enough. As some Republicans have proposed, we need to repeal the 14th amendment so we can deport all of the anchor babies who are in this country, including the children of adult anchor babies.

In this lame duck session everything is up to the State of Maine, and Maine's Republican Senator Snowe knows we should all be afraid of terrorism that could creep across Maine's border if the act passes. Reportedly, she has decided to kill it.

On top of the terrorism issues, the DREAM Act would adversely impact non-minority Americans.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., called the DREAM Act the "affirmative-action, amnesty nightmare," contending that undocumented immigrants who stand to benefit from the act, because many of them are minorities, will receive some preferences in U.S. society over "non-minority" American citizens. "It doesn't get much worse than that," he said.
