Jeremiah.
It's an apocalypse type series with Luke Perry doing a fair role as the anti-hero. I'm slowly working my way through that series on work nights and study nights. It is actually pretty good except Curdy bugs the shit out of me and HE CANNOT ACT. If they wanted a strong black lead I would have gone with the sect leader of the black power group in episode 16, Moon in Gemini. He was outstanding as an actor and YUM. Series ends after season 2.

Yeah I dont even know if anyone on here uses Hulu. This might turn out to be a thread where I talk to myself. Discuss.

Are you talking about Jericho?

No, it's Jeremiah. I saw it on Netflix. Watched a couple episodes before I lost interest.

Decided to watch the first episode because I love post-apocalyptic stuff... story goes, the world kills everyone when luke perry was 8, and this is set 15 years after that. Sounds like Luke Perry wants to be 23 instead of 44.

Finally finished Jeremiah and I'm disappointed there isnt any more to watch. Second season really leaves you hanging.

Pros: 1) Actors- There were some really funny actors in this series and I hope I see them again. The players of Theo, Marcus Alexander, Libby, Sims and various other villians and heroes were what made the show worth watching. 2)Bringing in Samwise the Hobbit from LOTR to play a likable Modern Moses who speaks to God was definately a highlight. 3) The pioneering aspect of the 'new world order'. The entire second season was based on rebuilding civilization. That puts this securely outside the 'destruction, zombies and plague' genre but for me that turn in focus was inspiring and hopeful. 4) Location -wherever they filmed this was beautiful. 5) VULCAN VILLIAN! 6) The political hippyass slant of some of the episodes.

Cons: 1)BAD ACTORS - Curdy, Lee, Devon, Ezekial (sp?). Erin was mediocre. 2) Plot is slow to get going and is consistently inconsistent. Episodes are streamlined within themselves but as a whole the premise of the show gets tossed around between survival, warfare, politics, "cowboys and indians", and a basic but comedic back and forth between a few anti-heroes while they experience a few forgettable mishaps. 3) There was definately a religous undertone to the show that probably represented a greater metaphor (revelations?!) but since the show discontinued we will never know what the writers intended. 4) Samwise the Hobbit really outshines everyone else and at some points his acting is nearly overwhelming in comparison with the weak plot and everything else. 5) The soap opera crap with Libby.

Final thoughts: My primary reason that I want to continue to watch is I want to hear more about Marcus's plan for the new government. I want to see a little Cleo or a little Leo ruining everything in that perfectly clean facility. I want to know more about the religious subplot!!

Thats it for now. On to watch some other stupid crap while I sit here not working at work.

I like stuff that sort of resembles Elmore Leonard. I can see why it didn't get enough ratings though. Shit like the show having nothing to do with terriers.
