So.. Is it possible to kill critters with disease/nightmare combo? Usually if I fight a grizzled I just toss a cast of each on it and walk away for a while, come back and implode it. Tried doing that earlier today and I ended up getting cman'd into a prone roundtime and was killed....
------
You trace an intricate sign that contorts in the air while forcefully invoking Disease...
Your spell is ready.
You gesture at a grizzled tegursh sentry.
CS: +197 - TD: +129 + CvA: +25 + d100: +72 == +165
Warding failed!
You plant the seed of a vicious disease in a grizzled tegursh sentry.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.

Your spell is ready.
You gesture at a grizzled tegursh sentry.
CS: +197 - TD: +129 + CvA: +25 + d100: +44 == +137
Warding failed!
You weave a grizzled tegursh sentry's worst nightmare for it.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.
(Forcing stance down to guarded)

Anyways, those are the two casts I hit it with. I figured it would be enough to kill it, even grizzled.
Thanks.

You CAN kill with these spells, they just take along time. If the creature is sentient, you may want to remove an arm so it can't heal itself. A better combination would be Limb disrupt, then a few casts of 701. You could also toss a Curse on him to get a bit more damage. OR, you could fight the thing head on by casting Stance Guarded curse at him to lower his TD, then disabling and finishing him.

I would suggest stepping out of the room, quaking from another room, walk in and e-wave, stance guarded curse, then a limb disrupt until you remove the limb. At that point, the creature can be killed at your leasure.

Huh.. I guess it really does take a long time. I sat in the room for six or seven minutes before I was dragged out, and the entire time it was sitting in a perma-stun suffering from the disease. It just shocked me that it wasn't killed in that time. I don't know why I never really thought of limb disrupting a grizzled. Most of the time I stance guarded curse the grizzled just for the TD.

It was just very frustrating laying there and watching it get damaged by the disease over and over and over again. Hah.

I would like to see that log, 6-7 minutes might be an exaggeration. The nightmare would have lasted 8 rounds. Disease if you are same level with the senty, would have started out at 23 per and would last 23 rounds dissapating at 1 per and that would have been like two minutes time. I just wonder what the hit points are for this creature. A like level disease in would have been 276 damage not including the nightmare. Too bad you can't channel disease to get a higher endroll.

I might have right arm limbed it, nightmared it and then focused maelstrom on it.

You used to be able to hit town NPCs with those spells, around the time Vaalor was opened. It'd kill them. They had a pretty sweet resurrection script, too bad there isn't a way to see it anymore.

Seems like you should have no problem killing it with normal attack spells. 708 if it does cmans, 703 if it casts. Then light it up.

Disease and Blood Burst is fun for killing Michaelous.
