It's in Perivan's shop, but I'm not entirely sure if Perivan is the actual owner or not. If the owner is around, or someone aware of the owner could toss a link his/her way, I'd appreciate a PM.

If a permablessed staff exists, I'd love one of those aswell. Any other misc. staves of awesomeness would be worth considering.

Also looking for a well scripted staff sling.

Thanks!

The few incredible ambushing rogues say you're wrong.

They could be more incredible in other ways.

The shadowdeath staff is more of an RP prop than anything else, in my opinion.

Generally not. The thought you just presented is held by the majority, and the majority of those people automatically discount the quarterstaff without any sort of testing.

It's fast. It's accurate. It's crush damage only.

The same people who would offer up DFs and AvDs to bash them are found wielding daggers (which cannot TRIP, and fail entirely on the several puncture-resistant creatures in game which are otherwise an absolute cakewalk for ambushers), which leaves me shrugging at them.

Try them out. They're much, much better than they look on paper.

Understood, though it is fairly plausible for hunting (if I ever have my hands on it, I'll post logs). Vultite-alloy for the squishy stuff, and flares for stuff I can't crit regularly anyway. Sounds fine to me.

If you were only looking at speed based edged weapons as the only other base in game you might have something of a point. Nobody is. You can easily hunt the entire game and not worry about puncture immunity.

Either way, QQing neg rep aside, you get yourself some free bumps.

The only staffs worth anything are the crit weighted transluscents. Oh and Thailors heh.

This is not a 'please spam me with your ignorance' thread.

There are quite possibly a number of 'other' staffs out there that could prove useful. The ironwood staffs, for instance, or any with unique flares and so on. I'm half way between collecting and covering all my bases mechanically, so what you (or you... or you) may dub worthless, I may see as ideal.

I already have access to three different vultite-alloy quarterstaffs, and will buy one or two in the coming days. In saying that, I am well aware of their existence.

Go find a pilum thread to spam instead, please.

Still looking! Nobody seems to be aware of this Perivan person, or whoever owns their shop?

Disagreeing is spamming?

My apologies. In retrospect I was pretty much just being a jerk during my original post.

Sell this guy your staffs.

WTF people, "staffs" is not the plural of "staff."

I felt wrong typing 'staffs', but justified it by assuming I was going with the flow.

Located the shadowdeath staff (shortly after it was bought by a decent holder, fortunately enough), and have a MCW lined up.

Any others of note that folks would part with? I'm also wanting a nice-ish harness or two, aswell as any unique staff fluff.

If you're looking for interesting staffs, others to consider that aren't really martial combat staffs, are the fair number of magical staffs that were made before the advent of runestaffs. There are a few very nifty ones out there.

Care to share an example? Anything pre-runestaff would still hold a quarterstaff base, and thus, be relevant?

If you refer to fluff staves which are about as staff-like as the gem eater that was stolen from me and then duped (not even a weapon, but rather a wand or costume piece), then I'm generally not interested.

I believe there's a cone of lightning one out there. There are also some that are mage rechargable and are indeed quarterstaves at the same time. Those are the only ones coming to mind, but I'm sure the vast knowledge on the PC can chime in.

In that case, if anyone has one of the stated mage rechargable quarterstaves, I would love to get my hands on one or eight depending on the spells involed.

Always looking at oddities or otherwise cool ones, mind you.

How much do the crit weighted alloy ones go for these days? Pretty sure I have one chilling in a locker.
