It's a really handy pendant, use mine all the time. Only thing that stinks about it is that a player/critter can instantly re-sanct the area. As opposed to the guild shards which keep the area from being sanctified for a duration of time after its use. Worth every cent if you ask me(but then again I'm partial to my own) and if I were playing I'd probably pick this one up too cause 3 uses get burnt quick sometimes.

I could have sworn a GM said they were going to change those items to make it so that the area couldn't be resancted immediately.

They did. They didn't.

I think you're confused.
That pitchfork is useless. The pendant is not.

Naw, they're both useless. When rubbing the pendant you can immediately resanct afterwards, same goes for NPC creatures.
The item was never intended to be sold, especially for 30 million.

Never intended to be sold?
Never intended to be sold?
It's a roleplay tool that is only a rarity because it actually serves a mechanical use. For 90% of us, it is pure fluff.
The difference here is (and the reason it may actually sell at 30m), the 10% of us (you guys) that remain could easily find that much value in knowing we can power trip it up any time we (you) want.
I won't be bidding on it, but someone will.
It's much more useful than just 'power tripping' whenever you want.
If you don't realize the potential of this item, then you shouldn't be bidding. Fun how that works out.

Ok how about you enlighten the unenlightened and explain yourself.

Perhaps I shouldn't be spelling it out for you people... It's sad that such a neat item is up for sale to be honest.

Well, first of all. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) I'm fairly certain that if you're hidden, nobody can/will see the sanct drop.
I've been in the room a few times when the previous owner used this and I never noticed anything. I even remember scrolling up looking for the messaging. It wasn't there.
Secondly... if you can drop the sanct with nobody aware... makes it pretty easy to have enough time to lighten some pockets where nobody would suspect or worry about being thieved.
I know first hand that our friend Mr. Rogane ended up missing a half dozen or so Koar's Eye Emeralds due to this pendant, not to mention the 100k or more in gems lifted from other unsuspecting people gathered for a particular event.
Funny thing was everyone thought the room was sancted the whole time.
Oop.
I PM'd a bid of 20mil to farmer... but haven't heard back. I'm fairly sure someone somewhere will eventually pay 30 for this. If not... well. No loss. It's an item I wouldn't sell if I had it.

If I saw right, someone was a little miffed about the pendant being sold on the officials . . . seems like there was a not to be sold agreement possibly in place? Could be they'd pay to have it back. /shrugs

So.... for 30m, you can secretly steal 100k of items per rub if you're in the right place at the right time?
Perhaps I shouldn't be spelling it out for you people...
I like how you more or less reiterate my statement by displaying the singular, narrow use you had in mind. There is nothing more to this item than the chance to power trip your way into someone's spleen, or if you're stupid enough/overburdened with PTPs, their pockets.
...but wait, there's more!!!
