First, don't worry about training during your first 30 days. Just get a claid and wtfpwnsauce. You can easily get 30-35 in shattered doing this.

The rest appears to be a good build but I think two handers are the way to go for fast xp.

Then again, if you don't care make the build you want, looks good to me. BTW, why would you have shield use if you are using two weapons? Get rid of that at least.

Shield use?
Trading?

i got 5 in it just in case i want to use it if i hunt somethin that has a strong bolt.. trading just for buyin stuff cheaper

I'd pump all those points into more MO and ditch the First Aid too.

At early levels (pre-maneuvers) it may be worthwhile, but then again at early levels you have such an enormous selection of creatures to choose from, it would make more sense to just go somewhere else.

eta: And to clarify, it's not like 4 ranks of shield is going to make or break your build. Your build is fine.

Gonna want more dodge, at least get to 1x. You can let it dip for now though and get MoC up to 30 for the first focused strike.

Don't worry about shield use. As latrinsorm said you will stop bolters with offense. They will be casters, and as such you should be able to rape them with feint and/or a disable of choice. Twinhammerfists and hamstring are options, i prefer twinham. knockdown on 101 endroll, knockdown and stun at i believe 125.

A katar build is always going to be strapped for points. not even worth picking up FA and especially trading. Depending on your society, if you're going CoL for convenience's sake i'll assume you will want the FA until you master.

For cmans you have a lot options. Obviously wspec, bonding, and mobility are staples for all warriors. I like to get a disable as mentioned above (twinham). Get berserk and feint from the guild ASAP (in that order, imo) and disarm as well when points allow. I'd also suggest picking up at least 1 rank of parry mastery asap. Applies to both hands for twc so it's a great bang for your buck. I like to get all 3 ranks soon, i know a lot of others who just picked up the 1 rank for a while and worked on other things.

My priorities looked something like this...
edged, brawl, twc, cman, pt - 2x always. No questions asked.

MoC to 30 ranks

dodge to 1x (if not already)

armor at least 2x at all times (before plate). 3x to get to metal breastplate with no penalty (letting MoC or dodge lapse), catch your other skills up a little in the window from MBP to FP, but then bring it back to 3x for full plate with no penalty asap.

moc to 55 ranks (third focus strike), again letting dodge lapse, at this point armor should be sitting at 140 ranks, you can leave it there until cap.

after moc is 55 get dodge up to at least 1x. At this point you should finally start having some spare points. I suggest this: leave your MoC at 55 and pick up extra dodge or you can now start getting some tertiary skills (MIU, AS, FA, etc.) use the character spreadsheet to figure out at what level you can get your MoC to 90 (4th focus strike) while not dropping below 1x dodge, as you get near that level start bringing your MoC back up to hit 90 at it.

also, tear shit up.

I would say for training on Shattered your best bet is to have a good enough DS to stay alive and enough AS to damage and eventually kill shit so you can fry, ok that sounds obvious but... Does TWC give you enough DS to safely AFK hunt without constantly waking up dead? In prime it may work with stance dancing but on Shattered my melee hunters just go in and start swinging.

i got my wizard snoopy in shattered to constently keep me spelled up, so defense is always goin to be decent. only problem im having is not being able to wear heavy armor

and yes don the FA is for skinning purposes for col, and the trading is just there because it can be.. its 3 mtp that wont get used otherwise. i had just trained before i pasted my skills.. im actually not doing bad on points i have like 4/8 spare leftever that stacks
