I'll be honest upfront and say that character sales don't bother me. They are going to happen whether we like it or not, so we might as well accept it as truth. In fact, in a few instances I've actually seen a character I despised sold to someone who roleplayed them better and was much more fun to have around.

However, Nighthawk is not one of them. I only had a few interactions with him when I first started, but one of my fondest memories was myself and another rogue dying in the Kral mine and having Celtic and Nighthawk try to rescue us only to die as well.

The new Nighthawk, however, is a goddamn moron. His incessant sales pithces and TTM's on the thought net, as well as his general lack of knowledge about the game is making me sick. Again, I don't mind characters being sold, but I do mind them being sold to morons. Am I alone in this?

problem is intelligent people generally dont need to buy high level characters.

What depresses me with character sales is seeing the true legends of the games become morons, Thalior for example, or Nighthawk now.

You don't know what you're talking about. Nighthawk was an O.G. legend, and I don't mean level 50, though that standard probably does apply. It's shitty when these characters, whose actions help form a founding standard of roleplay in GemStone 3, end up in some asshat's hands.

The guy that was him didn't asked your permission, nor skirmisher's, nor soulpieced, nor mine.

He surely saids to himself: what a loser I am to continue play that crap game that is getting worse and worse and that is costing MORE than MOST mmorpgs.

He sold him, had surely some good cash for that character, took his girlfriend to theater with that cash, bought her flowers, had a great meal in a restaurant, finished the moment in a beautiful hotel and had a great time.

Who cares if the guy invented Icemule, simu is shitting on people which force people to wake up.

Chances are it won't be Nighthawk that enchants your staff. After he claimed he could do multiple major projects at once, and me calling him on it, he admitted he has 2 other enchanting wizards. Xcalibur, you don't even play. Why do you still read the boards about this "shitty game"? It's not like anyone here likes you (not that anyone likes me but it's mutual at least).

Morons buying old characters is definitely a pet peeve. I also have no problem with buying/selling characters.. unless it concerns me directly. When a level 80 character has no idea how to heal down her own fucking scars (and then asks me how), something is wrong! If you're gonna shell out money to buy a character, READ ABOUT THE FUCKING SPELLS! I honestly just can't comprehend spending $100+ on a character and not knowing what to do with it.

Your right Nakiro, wish I could have changed it to the one I sold years back which should have been a level under this one. AS for everything else, I have been here way to many years, and I role-play the way I want.

Its funny how "now days" people like to ACT like they have been here for years. I think if some of you would talk to the older group < not that there are very many left> in the game you'll find things were a hell of a lot different in the old days< and IM not talking to you nakiro, i know personally that you have paid your dues, you would remember me if i told you the name, but that's what i like, role-playing different professions in different ways, and yes IM back!!>

AS for enchanting, I don't think you'll find many that know more.
