Cman and Spells Question for Sniper

How significant is getting the shadow mastery cman as a sniper? I'm currently 36 and trying to move some points around and hopefully free some up. Also, I was considering dropping my ranger circle down to 618 and getting up to 120 before switching back to ranger circle.

As you probably noticed the cmans for archer rangers really are good for defense. If sniping is your primary attack you will like shadow mastery. Otherwise disarm and cunning defense are really good.

Spells complement your hunting. Personally, I would get to 640 first then switch over to minor spirit and get up to 130. After that I would switch back to Ranger spells.

Smastery is very useful because of the RT reduction, but 608 kicks ass for snipers and you get to save the TPs you'd have to spend on CM. Many archers don't bother with CM at all until later on.

Regarding spells, you want 640 ASAP. Try to get it at level 40, then switch to minor spirit.

640 is quite possibly the best defensive spell in the game. +20 defense and it gives you passive block that you normally wouldn't have. It's rather sexy.

I was fully 1x cmans around level 60 and picked up smastery. It's rather awesomesauce because of the hide/sneak RT decrease. You can't max out smastery until level 44ish anyway.

When I used sniping, smastery was invaluable. Although I used 608 most of the time smastery was very handy for the RT reduction. It's not like rangers have that many useful cmans to choose from. And 640 is awesomesauce.... don't leave home without it.
