looking for trades mostly...or stupid coin offers
The axe scabbard is cleverly designed to be positioned at the small of the back with soft leather shoulder straps, allowing the sheath to extend upwards for an overhead weapon release. Padded silk lines the inside, while the exterior has been simply lacquered to accent the random whorls and swirls of the wood grain. An open-worked cap of scrimshawed ivory reinforces the base, with a matching ring at the scabbard's mouth. The only other adornment is a thin, scrolling missive carved along the spine.
There appears to be something written on it.
In the Common language, it reads:
When wind is again filled with speech, I may lay rest on my path.
You pull a well-balanced illthorn-hafted francisca gracefully from your scabbard.
>examine fran
Grey whorled silver vultite forms the throwing axe's arch-shaped head, widening toward the cutting edge and terminating in a prominent point at both the upper and lower corners. The top of the axehead is convex with the lower portion curving inward and forming an elbow with the short illthorn haft. Softened blue-grey leather has been wrapped around the smooth illthorn wood, ending at an open-worked cap of scrimshawed ivory.
4x disruption flares...disruption flares were added
2 +12 orbs with no age requirement and a +8 helm that is padded

Yes, very nice. Nice orbs and helm too; a great combination for someone to get into hurling with a bang.

the orbs are a small problem with the bandolier, have to be on armor or shield, or added to existing gear if you are using better than a standard 4x shield or padded armor (if that ever happens)...
Best use for it would be someone not wedded to a shield adding them to that.

4x bandolier is worth in the 30m range?

4x bandolier is worth in the 30m range?
At least, someone worked on it as it has a rare flare and the others only had the 5 common flares when I released em and most a lightning handaxes (sob!)...

They won't even touch bandoliers stat-wise these days. Wouldn't add unbalance to my bandolier.

I'd do my mattock for it, if you tossed in a few coins or something else. I've been wanting a bandolier.

Who added the flares? When did you get them added? I'd love to swap my lightening bando for some other flare. Even getting a merchant to alter the axes was a sketchy proposition, the merchant whispered to me afterward that he hoped he didn't break it. Touchy items, those.

I like what you did with it: the alteration, the flares, the bandolier alter itself; all very nice. What exactly are you wanting in trade? A hint would be nice: weapon class, non-weapon stuff, etc... 30 mil is low for that bandolier.

I wouldn't dream of selling it for 30 mil...and as for trades two handed weapons....armor brig or chain and anything else that is valuable and I can sell just hit me up on PM

Is there a way to do two bandos at once? I'm assuming it would require twc?

Why would you need two? Just take two axes out of the bandolier.
you can just rub the thing twice and get two hurlables out i believe.

Well, I'm tired. That makes sense.

Actually, they aren't, but what do I know...

Actually, they aren't, but what do I know...
Well, then what the hell is the deal with the trouble getting work on them??
grrr, don't be coy.

Probably has something to do with the fact that most merchants aren't dev and don't understand the code nearly as well as those that coded it.
So, by virtue of finding a dev merchant, would someone be able to alter the code and thus the rarity of such a service.

Honestly, I don't know, if I had to guess, just they think they are teh awesome and didn't want to touch them. It really is straightforward though and a fair amount of instructions if I remember.
Looking back, I could have done it better and just made it all datafields and textfields for the whole thing, ah well, 20/20 hindsight, the WD time was absolutely insane and Melissa was asking for a lot to make that beached whale a success.

I got the flares added at an FWI merchant 5-6 years ago. The GM that did has left staff, I think though.
I like what you did with it: the alteration, the flares, the bandolier alter itself; all very nice.
Thanks! I thought it came out pretty good, all things considered.

For posterity's sake, the flares seem to be disintegration, not disruption. No complaints here.
With a quick flick of your wrist, you deftly send a well-balanced illthorn-hafted francisca into flight.
You throw a well-balanced illthorn-hafted francisca at a cave gnome!
AS: +99 vs DS: +10 with AvD: +38 + d100 roll: +84 = +211
... and hit for 46 points of damage!
Slash to the cave gnome's chest!
Breathe deep, it'll feel better in a minute.
The cave gnome is stunned!
** Your illthorn-hafted francisca releases a shimmering beam of disintegration! **
... 10 points of damage!
Finger on left hand vaporized, leaving the cave gnome unable to count quite as high.

Wow, 60m and you took a major loss? WTF did you pay for it?
People were offering me like half for my bandolier.
