What is the heaviest suit of armor a Wizard could maintain and still have a reasonable spell %?

Cuir Leather / mid-chain was about my thought, but I could easily be wrong.

I can deal with 1 or at the most 2 failed casts during a hunt.

I don't know what % yields that result, but it seems 4-7 is the best.

I always believed LBP was about the most spell hinderance I was willing to endure. Although pre changes I was going for chain and I know Earthdiver and a few others were in that armor class, man that shit was OP.

Whenever I see one of these Jersey Shore types posing, I just wonder if they see the blatant homo-eroticism and simply choose to ignore it or if they're embracing it.

Do a side-by-side comparison with Tayre's avatar, for example.

I would agree with LBP as max without complete annoyance, but with a good set of padding I would go with doubles personally and thats what I use with my wizard.

My archer Mage is in vhcp cuir but I'd love to get my hands on a nice set of lbp.

Good luck. I know there's a few sets out there that are better than mine but they don't move often, if ever.

I would have to say Brig. Your hindrance would be 12% with 130 armor ranks to get there, which means 1x training +29 ranks of enhancive AU, which is no small task. It IS possible, and 12% will drive you nuts. I hunt as a sorcerer with 11%.

Chain with maxed out Armor Use maxed out via enhancives would be pushing 20%, probably more. That would be pretty unsustainable, not to mention the massive penalties you would be facing with maneuvers and such.

I see that character log in from time to time. I know it's not the original Malok of course. I'm curious as to how much total exp that guy has, it would be interesting to find out.

He was always a character in GS3 that had a bit of mystery around him. I remember I used to bring him boxes from Zombies and the like and he would give me a 4 hours wall of force spell up, hah! Those were the good ole' days.

Malok sold out several years ago. No idea if he ever sold Malokii though.

I would say LBP. That's what I'm going for. Now, finding a decent suit... that's another matter. I'm anticipating enchanting a set to 7x and then paying mad loot for PPs to pad it.

There is a big difference between padded full leathers and padded LBP. DFs and especially Crit Divisors make a huge difference, not to mention AvD and CvA.

It wasn't Malok. It was Malokii that hunted in chain (actually hauberk if I remember right).

get in good with a capped paladin who chose the armor fluidity option
Armor Point Cost:
Rank 1: 20
Rank 2: 30
Rank 3: 40
Rank 4: 50
Rank 5: 60
Description: Adjusts a person's armor so that they can cast spells more easily while wearing it. Reduces spell failure chance by 10% of the base spell failure chance per rank (all fractions dropped).

5 ranks means you can remove 50 percent of the hinder sooooo......

if you get 12 percent for LBP and a 5 rank armor fluidity paly adjusts your armor, it drops to 6 percent for 4 hours
