Maximum Health Points

Read on several places the 'max' HP for different races etc., and did not find the answer to all my questions. Stated maximums through PF for DE's are 120(140 with con bonus?, that part was unclear)

This particular char is a dark elf and with his second rank of combat toughness he gained no further HP. With vigor and 1 rank of combat toughness his health total is 185. Is this the hard cap on health points for a dark elf? The second rank of combat toughness left him with still 185 hit points, with all his other stuff it should of been closer to mid/upper 190's if no cap was in place. Any info would be appreciated.

there is a +40 cap for enhancive bonuses to max health (including cman toughness).

If I remember correctly the maximum amount of HP you're allowed to have is based off your current CON bonus. Someone will correct me if i'm wrong.

Yeah, seems kinda silly, but I guess it makes more sense than a burghal gnome running around with 200+ HP.

edit: anything that makes your health monsterbold will cap at 50.

On the plus side, you can migrate out of your ranks of toughness as you increase your spell training, and spend those points on something else.

I wasn't aware that toughness fell into the enhancive grouping either... made myself a +19 health fusion orb and a +10 CON one, with the intent of making a set of +24 heath armor. Wonder how useful that will be now.

I haven't played for years but I'm guessing your CON bonus is +15.

Your character's max base HP is their race base HP + CON bonus, so 120 for DE, +15 for CON, and +50 HP bonus cap.

Just for shits and giggles, the absolute maximum health would be a giantman with 200 base, 35 from CON, another 20 from CON enhancives, plus 50 from max health enhancives, equaling 305.

Would CMAN TOUGH take it a notch up? I think I got highlighted HP when I trained in it, so it might negate maxed out HP enhancement. Not sure.

Combat toughness does indeed count against your +50 max health limit. Brute and I just tested this during EG. It blows.
